I also wish I could order a pair with 0 distance help for distance at the top. Would be great if I glanced over at the TV while reading or on the computer and could see properly. Otherwise great glasses. I like the way the arms are attached to the frame on this model. The last pair broke at the weld. Let me know when O distance is available and I’ll order another pair immediately.

Bought these after cataract surgery to tide me over for six weeks until I got a new prescription. Performed as intended but I don’t believe the reviewers who say they prefer these to prescription glasses. I doubt that the quality of the lens plastic is comparable, and I can verify the comment by another reviewer that there is a slight red tint when looking at the computer screen. To make it weird, the left lens has a stronger tint than the right lens.
I thought perhaps I could wear these while driving so I could see the dashboard. First, I found out I didn’t need glasses at all to see the dashboard (yay), and second, the top of the lens is not 0x. Maybe I didn’t read the description closely enough but the Amazon description isn’t as clear as it should be. It says the top strength is for “interacting,” whatever that means. The packaging that came with the glasses is more helpful. It says “Reading: Normal Strength. Computer: Slightly Less Than Normal Strength. Across Desk: Half of Normal Strength.” For me, the top of the lens, not the middle, is ideal for computer.
These were good enough to tide me over. My new prescription lenses are better, as they should be.

I had a bad experience with prescription progressive glasses. After paying quite a lot for them, I found them very uncomfortable to wear, because I couldn’t get used to the distortion. They made me queasy, even after wearing them every day for a few weeks. I gave up, and stayed with my single strength readers.
That was about a year ago.
I recently tried a pair of these foster grant “multifocus” readers – what a difference. These lenses are (nearly) distortion free, and the useable area is very wide – unlike the prescription glasses (from warby parker) which had a narrow “corridor” where the image was sharp.
These glasses are lightweight, which also makes them physically comfortable as well as optically comfortable.
As far as style, I think these are just OK – but fashion is very subjective. The range of frames offered with this feature is not very wide. The build quality is good, but not great. I don’t expect these to last more than a year or so.
But even with these issues, the lenses more than make up for it. They’re just great, functionally speaking – especially in contrast to my expensive prescription glasses.
Initially, I ordered the strength that I use for my regular readers. I found that this was not quite strong enough in the multifocus pair. I ordered another pair, a half diopter stronger- and they are perfect. They feel just like my regular readers now. Your mileage may vary.
I was so impressed with this “multifocus” concept, I decided to buy a couple of other brands of this type of glasses. The other manufacturers’ glasses are less expensive by about $10 – $15. The first pair arrived today. I wore them for a few hours, and they were ok – but they also distorted the lower half of my field of vision a bit. The distortion was significantly less than my prescription glasses, but significantly more than these Foster Grant lenses.
I have another pair from another manufacturer arriving in a few days, and I’ll update this review if the next pair performs better than these foster grant multifocus glasses.

Solid, comfortable frames and quality lenses. More expensive than cheap readers, but worth the price. Your eyes will thank you!

Muy buen producto, El multi enfoque esta exactamente al nivel que yo necesito para poder manejar y ver el tablero sin problemas

Multifocal lenses have some distortion in them due to the way that the lenses are manufactured. It’s a compromise. That being said, from what I’ve read online and the images of how this should look there should be a clear area all the way across the top of the lens for distance viewing.
These Foster Grant glasses have a significant distortion in the right lens that goes all the way to the top. The left lens doesn’t seem to have this issue or at least it isn’t significant. This causes me some issues as I have two monitors on my desk and for reading on the right side, it blurs my vision. When I look left I don’t notice this. I have laser corrected vision and I can see perfectly at a distance, but have recently needed to wear some 1.25 readers for up close work or reading books. This distortion isn’t a problem with my eyes, it’s in the lens. I can hold these glasses up in front of my monitor and see where it distorts text on the right side of the right lens at the top.
I thought that by spending a little more on Foster Grant glasses that I’d be getting an optically correct lens, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I’ve since found a few other Amazon reviews for other FG multifocal readers that seem to indicate that they may have a common problem with the right lens. Due to that, I’m going to return these and try to find some other brand or go back to my ‘end of the nose’ drugstore readers.

A little expensive but they do feel like quality and like they are built better than the cheaper ones .

Son multifocales, la distancia cercana está perfecta al igual que la intermedia, pero la distancia lejana tiene aumento. No deberÃa de tener nada de aumento. Ese es el único pero muy importante detalle.
