The radio is as advertised. Replaced the wall unit in our camper with it. The best part is the “two zone” feature to turn off the outside zone. East to use (once you read the manual). Straight forward install. Now to replace the speakers as it is much more powerful than the original radio and we can hear the lack of quality in the original speakers.

Good little stereo. I bought it after the stock unit in my 98 Explorer gave out. The stock unit quit working while powered up one day, and I couldn’t turn it off anymore! It was stuck on in medium high volume level with the local rock station tuned in. Drive Thru workers hated me! Nonetheless, it was time for a replacement. I wanted to spend more money on a “better” unit, but I had an emergency road trip come up and sorted by cheapest price/best reviews and found this unit in that list. I am so happy I got this unit. I wanted BlueTooth for hands free and music streaming and decent sound. BOSS audio has great sound, now I need new speakers!! Which are on my Christmas list, but budget, budget, budget… My HTC phone was easy to pair, music sounds decent through the BT. Music off a CD sounds even better but I expect some lossness over the wireless connection. People in phone calls can hear me fine. Sometimes they can be quite, but I attribute that to their phone as it doesn’t happen to every phone call. Installation was easy with the correct mounting kit. The wiring harness for the 98 Ford Explorer was another story. I had the Mach System with an AMP in the back and had to fanagle that, but it is not the radios fault and the BOSS Audio 508UAB keeps its five stars from me. Great unit. Now I just need speakers… The picture was when I test fitted it. I didn’t find much info on 98 Explorer radio installation (the 98 kind of had a one off system and three options that year, I’m like the fourth owner, and still poor) so I just took the dash apart and dove in. Any questions? Specifically about Explorer radio installation? Ask int he questions, I learned a lot on this one.

I needed a CD and USB player for my golf cart. Purchased this unit 508UAB for less than a CD player would have cost. Plays great, but I will need to purchase an antenna if I want to use the FM/AM radio. The only problem I had was using the included USER’S MANUAL during the Installation of the radio into my golf cart. The manual’s wiring diagram illustrated the 12 wire pigtail showing the GND (black) and Power (yellow) wires and then the rest of the smaller gauge wire as ACC+ ANT+ and the front and rear speakers. I connected my power source to the black ground and yellow hot and hooked up all of the speaker wire, I then tried to power up the radio but it failed. I used my FLUKE 87 multimeter to confirm that the power and fuses were okay, so I sent a message to Amazon for a refund and I reordered another unit. When I was on Amazon’s site I noticed that there was a PDF Trouble Shooting Guide available so I downloaded it. The first line on the guide was “There are three main wires that should be connected to the power supply to turn ON the radio”!!!!
For those of you who are connecting this radio to a Boat, RV, ATV or Golf Cart you will need to connect the 16 Gauge yellow wire and the smaller Red wire together, and then connect them to your hot 12 volt power supply lead.

I purchased this to replace another FM Radio/ CD player that quit playing my CDs. I love my CDs and so I saw this model and WOW, am I glad I bought it !!!! Plays my CDs perfectly and has GREAT AUDIO !!! The FM radio sounds awesome too !!!!! I had taken a wooden wine box that bottles of wine were shipped in and redesigned it to house my new BOSS AUDIO SYSTEM. The speakers are located on each end of the wooden box, to give a stereo sound. The main unit fits in a rectangle opening I cut into the front of the wine crate which is from Italy !!!! Looks and SOUNDS GREAT !!!!!! The wooden box creates a unique sound sort of like an acoustic guitar would sound.

Bought and received in less than three days.
I installed this in my 2002 Dodge Dakota SLT. The truck’s aftermarket radio died so I reused the frame and harness adapter. Install is pretty straight forward. Match wire color to wire color for the radio harness to the aftermarket radio harness adapter. The sound in good (and may be better than it was before with the old JVC). The bluetooth works well and the quality is good. Haven’t had issues with the bluetooth like other reviews.
After wiring to the harness I noticed that the radio didn’t turn off when the ignition was off. I double checked that I had the “constant” power (yellow wire, provides constant power so setting aren’t lost) and the “ignition” power (red wire, provides power when the ignition is on) were correct, they were. I was pretty frustrated because the radio should turn completely off when the ignition was off. Spent probably too much time playing around with it and searching the internet to figure out what was wrong.
So I finally gave up and decided it would never completely turn off. With the radio in the power off position (radio clock is still on dimly) I removed the fuse for the radio and checked the power draw from the fuse socket with a voltmeter. I couldn’t readily discern a power draw and decided that it wouldn’t kill my battery (probably couldn’t get a reading because my voltmeter is really crappy). Besides, if I went camping or something and didn’t want the chance of it killing my battery I could just remove the fuse to kill it completely.
Fast forward about a week, and the radio has decided to turn off when the ignition is off. Really weird because I didn’t do anything to fix it. Maybe a relay was acting up? No idea but it functions correctly now.
One more thing. Really bright screen and buttons. Very nice during the day but if you’re driving a dark moonless night it gets really annoying. Like really annoying (hence the 4 stars). Anyone know how to wire the “dimmer” power (orange wire) into a radio that isn’t equipped to receive it?
Anyway, good radio for the price. Would recommend it .
*UPDATE* The issue with the radio being on continually has returned…

Prodotto eccellente.
