J hooks don’t fit through openings, then the chain is too weak to form a good seal before popping the chain links apart. Made it up to 3 lbs with the bleeders open. By the time I got under the car, I had to come back out bc half a Qt bottle of Lucas brake fluid all over my engine and the floor. Junk, I should have just bought the mighty vac one.

Needs a better way to hold the tool on the master cylinder.. worked good after I used 2 7 inch C clamps

So the cap used for older or the wider brake master cylinders will blow brake fluid out of the side and all over the engine. The chains provided are weak and I replaced them with thicker chain from Ace Hardware…and also used M6 “jam” nuts to secure to the underside of the aluminum cap. Works great after this. No pressure leaks, which is not air but fluid. Only issue now is the reservoir needs updating…..like a shut off valve, and a pressure release on the tank. This will help with less brake fluid spilling all over the place. I have the other OMT brake bleeder for Audi E20 adapter kit etc….and that works great, still makes a mess after quick connect is disconnected. Still needs a shut off valve and pressure release.

i finally tackled the brake bleeding on my project car this weekend, and this kit made it a surprisingly smooth process. i’ve used my fair share of bleeder kits over the years, and this one definitely stands out. the adapters fit snugly onto the bleeder screws without any leaks, and the hose stayed securely attached to the bottle throughout the entire job. it was an easy clean and efficient brake bleed.

the instructions were clear and straightforward, but honestly, as a seasoned mechanic, i didn’t even need to reference them. everything was intuitive and easy to use. the job was done quickly and efficiently, and now the brake pedal feels firm and responsive, just like it should & for a novice – youd have no issues following along .

i’m def impressed with this kit. it’s quality built, easy to use, and gets the job done right, without leaks & without any air bubbles in your lines or your ABS module.

While I was eventually able to get this to work, it wasn’t the best experience. First of all the chain links are too small to fit over the hooks. How that got past quality control is beyond me. I had to go buy some chain with larger links. Next the rubber sealing pad was not connected to the top so you have to be very careful to get the holes lined up. They weren’t perfectly aligned on my first attempt which allowed fluid to be pumped between the seal and cap = huge mess!!!! I will be returning this to but the name brand unit. I gave it 2 stars because once I got everything fixed it did make bleeding the brakes very simple.

pump is good the seal on cap is to hard and does not seal the chains had to be forced onto hooks then both chains broke ended up udeing tie wraps to hold cap down. better quality chain would be nice. but over all got job done

If you have an older car with the big cast iron master cylinder you need one of these bleeders. Sometimes it’s just impossible to get the system to bleed on older cars without a good pressure bleeder.
This bleeder hooks onto the master cylinder and forces pressurized fluid through the system to the bleeders. All you do is pump it up and then open each bleeder starting at the furthest away for a few seconds. It clears the air from the system in a few seconds.

One word of advice- ditch the chain clamps and just use a big C-clamp. It holds a lot tighter and is better than fumbling with the chains. I made a huge brake fluid mess the first time around using the chains and had to swap over to a clamp when I couldn’t get a good seal.

This saved my bacon on my 1970’s GM muscle car. I did a rear disc conversion and was having a bear of a time trying to get the new proportioning valve and rear brake lines, calipers, etc to bleed. I did a gravity bleed, a vacuum bleed, and the old fashioned pump the pedal bleed and I still had spongy brakes. I hooked this guy up and had them working perfectly in about 15 minutes.

Yes, it’s a little hard to get set up on the master without it leaking, but that’s the nature of specialty tools; especially specialty brake tools.

    Highly recommend.

This is a great tool to be able to make bleeding the brakes on the old C10 a one person job. If you can get the lid off and secure this device over your master cylinder, then you can get all the air out of your brakes.
I do not recommend using this on a vehicle with a plastic reservoir on the master cylinder.
