I purchased this to connect a LAN only device to our network which was located in an area that would have been very difficult to run a network cable to, but there was a strong wifi signal in the area. This device not only extends a wireless network to LAN, but also extends or boosts your wireless signal. I did not need to extend the wirless signal so I turned that part off. It worked seamlessly to bridge the wireless network to LAN for my device that was LAN only. There is a web browser interface that you can access as soon as you plug a laptop into the LAN port. If you’ve configured a home router before, than this will be strait forward for you to set up.

Although it’s advertised as up to 867mbps on the WiFi, the unmentioned limit on wired Ethernet is 100mbps because of hardware limitations. This won’t even connect to my device which only supports 1gig and 10 gig.
The user interface is ok for the average guy setting it up as an extender but it’s dumbed-down to the point where it’s very limiting for more technical users.
As a wi-fi extender it’s OK. For connecting low speed wired devices it’s probably OK too. If you are looking for wired speed, look elsewhere

I purchased this for my Father-in Law when he and his wife moved into a new condo that did not have wired Internet. How cheap is that for a brand new building? Anyway, he needed to have a wired network in order to connect to his older printer that does not have WiFi. This adapter was easy to setup and we were connected in minutes.

I have a Bluesound audio set up which is more stable with a wired internet connection but that was hard to achieve. I bought this device to provide a wired connection and it works perfectly. Set up couldn’t be easier. I plugged it in near my router, paired it with the press of two buttons, moved it to where it was needed and it connected straight away. Perfect!

Worked fine for a while, but after about a year of use it quit working. Now it makes a hissing noise and the lights cycle as if it’s trying to restart over and over. Would not recommend buying this product.

If you need to hook something to your wifi that only has a hard ethernet port, this is a dandy solution. Plug it in by your wifi router and configure it, then plug it in where you have the device that doesn’t have wifi, connect it to your device with an ethernet cable, quick setup and you’re up and running.

As a network contractor I often running across non-WiFi devices — receipt printers, TVs with broken WiFi adapters, etc. This device solves the problem. Installation is easy and Ethernet connection is stable. What the description doesn’t make clear is that this unit is also a WiFi extender and transmits its own WiFi signal. (I suspect it was originally a WiFi extender that added an Ethernet port.) Great, huh? Well, it could be but if you don’t want that capability, there’s no way to disable it. You’re just stuck with one more SSID floating out there. Not a huge problem but minus one star for lack of flexibility, especially in a commercial environment.

I had recently up graded my Internet to the new Verizion 5G home internet from the cable company. For what ever reason the Samsung TV’s would see the new internet source, but would not connect! Listen when I tell you the frustration doing the software up dates, reseting the TV’s, changing the WIFI names, spending countless hours with Verizon Tech support accomplished absolutely nothing. Verizon said at this point you have two options, one replace your TV”s or run a ethernet cable from the router to the TV”s. Nether option was good! I said there’s no! way I am replacing TV’s or running hard wire!
So I thought I would share my solution to the problem……I told the Verizon Tech on the phone what I was doing they are going to follow up to see If my Idea actually works tomorrow……… They have what is called a WI-FI internet bridge it was the only viable option and works beautiful! From the time I opened the box until I had a solid simulated wired connection was 10 mins! Just wish I had know this before going through the Verizon torcher chamber! I am sure those of you reading this are relieved to hear there is an answer to this problem! Here is the link to the one I bought. Bought this so I didn’t have to run a Ethernet cable across my room to my CCTV dvr from my router…
I just plugged this into a socked beside my dvr and connect a small Ethernet from dvr to this. Job done !!
