I love these things. I have a gym membership, but bought these for days when I just couldn’t make it. The rubber is very strong and feels well connected to handle. I can’t tell if it’s a one piece dumbbell that was just coated with rubber. Nevertheless, I think they’ll hold up well over time.
It has good grip texture, not annoying or overly textured. So it feels good in your hands. I haven’t actually tested the weights for accuracy, but they feel pretty accurate. I just can’t speak to the weight as dean on perfect.
I would definitely buy another size of this brand if I needed a higher weight. The price is great too.

I bought this 50-lb dumbbell to use for sumo squats. It’s exactly what I expected for a CAP dumbbell… it’s decent quality, the correct weight and easy to grip. But it did come with a very strong rubber odor (overpowering for my small home gym) and a weird oily coating. I’ve used Dawn and 409 which has helped but it still emits an odor and is a little bit slippery (and I’ve had it for two months now). I believe in time those things will continue to dissipate but I’m not sure if I’d rather just buy my dumbbells in a brick and mortar where I know exactly what I’m getting.

Well, what can you say about weights. You use them to exercise. But these look really good, they’re very sturdy and very quality. The only negative thing I have to say about them which is very little is that they are a little smelly for a few weeks and the rubber plasticky smell disappears after a couple of weeks. Then you are good to go. Highly recommended.

I was pretty shocked by how cheap these were when I saw them. They are about on par with the prime day sale price, but maybe even a little cheaper for some of the different weight levels. I grabbed a set of 80 pounders. They arrived without any damage, and the boxes held up well. No foul odor like some of the Cap barbells I’ve ordered in the past, and they did not stain my white washcloth when I rubbed them with it, unlike a different set of dumbbells I bought last year.
I weighed both dumbbells and they came in within a half pound of each other, but my scale is a cheap and basic digital scale, so I would give them the benefit of the doubt that they are the same weight. I have used them twice, and I love the handles. The knurl is not particularly vicious, but I don’t really like it that way, so I’m happy with them. I really have no complaints on these. Cheap dumbbells have been hit or miss for me, but these are the best value I’ve found.

I bought two of these for my husband and they are very good quality. They are not smelly in any way. They are sturdy and well built. They were way less expensive ordering this way rather than buying from nearby stores. They were delivered over two days. One dumbbell arrived one day, and the other one the next day. I like that Amazon is considerate of their delivery people’s backs, as it would be super heavy to pick up both at the same time. I use these dumbbells as well sometimes and they are easy for me. Although as a woman I find that the handle can get a bit uncomfortable on my soft female palms so I would recommend wearing gloves for sensitive hands. Overall, they are just great, and I would recommend this brand.

I’ve had it for about 3-4 months, it works great overall. I’m slowly buying the necessary items for a small home gym and these work great. I started with 10lbs and just bought another set of 15lbs. They look and feel great. They seem durable enough, I don’t handle them carelessly so I think they’ll last a long time. They do smell when you first get them but the smell goes away after being out for a while. I recommend cleaning them to get rid of the smell faster. I did buy one that was used, and there wasn’t much of a difference so I also recommend getting the used ones if need be.
