Die Jacke ist einfach super schön und qualitativ das, was man von Carhartt auch erwarten darf. Bei der Größe eher eine Nummer kleiner bestellen als üblich, sie fällt doch sehr groß aus.

This is the second one of these my husband has owned. His first lasted 5+ years and he only needed a new one because the color faded due to him getting product on it from work. Comfy, warm, looks good on.

Veste parfaite selon moi.

I bought this as a bridge between my Carhartt Yukon Extreme coat that I wear when it drops below the teens (sometimes way below). That coat is excellent for deep cold, but it’s *so* well insulated that it’s overpowered for anything above freezing. It will have you sweating in your truck or inside after a few minutes.
This coat is a perfect solution for more common winter temps (Teens through 50’s)– it is extremely comfortable, fits great (I’m 6′ 165lbs and size Medium is perfect) and it has a hood that I use all the time. It is genuinely warm- I can wear short sleeves under it in the 20’s and I am absolutely comfortable.
I praise it highly as an overall excellent winter go-to– I love the dark coffee brown color (matches my Stetson) and the sherpa in the body/hood is soft and doesn’t shed anything onto my clothes (the sleeves are nylon lined not sherpa, FYI).
The hand pockets are appropriately deep and let you protect your hands well –something I knocked the Yukon Extreme coat for pretty hard, with it’s pitiful mouse-hand pockets that won’t even hold a cellphone without extreme risk of it falling out.
The zipper on this coat is metal, and since no review is worth anything if it doesn’t find a flaw somewhere, I think they would help users by having a larger zipper tab for your fingers to grab– it’s really quite small for an otherwise hefty-weight coat and finding it is a burden that seems like a preventable oversight– but that’s all I really find to complain about.
    You will love this coat.

I’m 6’1 roughly 180lbs, and I needed a large “big and tall” which is really a” large tall” (this was on the label marked as LARGE TALL). a Large “big and tall” is really a large “tall”. I ordered a large originally and it was too short, mainly on the torse and sleeves. I have sent it back and got the Large “big and tall” (again actually a large, tall). If you are similar height, I would suggest the Large Big and Tall (aka large, tall). If you are a heavy-set guy with similar height id start with a large, big and tall but might start looking at a XL depending on your weight/waist size. Layering up with a sweater is good with the sizing I got, plenty of room for layering if needed.

Overall, a nice jacket, warm and nice fit. This jacket is more of a recreational use and not for work but I expect it to last with the Carhartt work clothing I have and how its held up thus far with the wear and tear from construction.

hope this helps others placing orders.

I have been a Carhartt fan for years, and I purchased the Utility Jacket to replace my 26 year old Carhartt chore coat.

What do I like about this jacket: Everything.

The Fit: I am 5ft 11in tall, 185lbs, Medium build, so I ordered a Large, and the fit is perfect from the sleeve length to the shoulders. Because the jacket is gusseted, it allows for full range of motion even with the jacket fully zipped and buttoned. The jacket has an adjustable waste cord, which I have not had to touch. Another nice feature is the jacket length, which falls at pocket level on a pair of jeans. The jacket is slightly longer in the back than in the front, which keeps it from riding up.

Storage: The jacket has six pockets. Two front “hand” pockets, two buttoned breast pockets, an additional front left breast pocket with a center Velcro closure, which makes for a handy place to hold pencils, and an interior zip pocket on the left, which I use to keep my wallet secure. Pocket depth has not been an issue, and I keep an IPhone 13 in the front hand pocket with no issues.

Warmth: The jacket is Sherpa lined. I’ve worn it hours in 25-32 degree temps and was comfortable with just a T-shirt under a Henley shirt. I would say that it would be comfortable to work in from 20-50 degrees. The zipper (right zipper) also has a button cover, making it that much more air tight. The sleeves are cuffed, though they don’t appear to be at a glance. These cuffs really help with keeping cold air from seeping into the arms, especially if you’re like me and you like to wear a thinner undershirt while working. There is a Sherpa-lined attached hood as well.

Construction: This jacket feels heavy duty. The zipper is beefy, the buttons solid, and the overall construction is solid. I feel like I can use and abuse this jacket without destroying it. The duck outer lining is not soft cotton, but it moves, and feels strong without being stiff.

Appearance: This is not a bad looking jacket and I might even call it stylish. I would feel fine wearing this while out and about.

Demerits. I give this jacket one demerit, and it is a very minor demerit, and that is the attached hood. I like the hood, I like how it lays on the back when not in use without feeling bulky, I just wish that it could be removed. This is a very minor quibble, however.

Overall I highly recommend this jacket if you are in the market for warm, heavy duty, and practical work wear. It is not inexpensive, but I feel it is worth every penny. In fact, I would go as far to say that even if you aren’t in the market for a work jacket, but only warm jacket that can take a beating, then this jacket is worth considering. It is warm, comfortable, practical, and not bad looking.

I had been wearing the same worn-out winter jacket for 11 long years, and finally deciding to replace it with Carhartt’s Washed Duck Sherpa-Lined Utility Jacket was a game-changing decision. Here’s why:

    Pros:

Exceptional Warmth: The sherpa lining of this jacket provides superior insulation, making it perfect for those biting NY winters. I was amazed at how much more comfortable I felt, even in freezing temperatures.

Stylish and Practical: The jacket is not only warm but also looks great. Its relaxed fit makes it comfortable for daily wear, whether for work or casual outings.

Durable Construction: Carhartt is known for its rugged design, and this jacket is no exception. The washed duck material feels sturdy without being stiff, promising long-term durability.

Versatile Utility: With practical pockets and thoughtful design, it’s clear that this jacket was made with the working individual in mind. It’s perfect for outdoor labor or just braving the cold on a day out.

Worth Every Penny: Although I was hesitant to replace my old jacket, the investment in this Carhartt jacket was well worth it. The quality, warmth, and functionality are unmatched.

    Cons:

Why Didn’t I Buy This Sooner?: My only regret is not having bought this jacket years ago. I can’t believe I missed out on so much comfort.
    Conclusion:

The Carhartt Men’s Relaxed Fit Washed Duck Sherpa-Lined Utility Jacket is a must-have for anyone dealing with cold winters. It combines functionality with style, durability with comfort, and offers value that is hard to beat. I’m now looking forward to winter, knowing I have this jacket to keep me warm. If you’re in the market for a new winter jacket, don’t hesitate; this one is a winner!
