Nice watch for the money. Purple/red face stands out nicely and I like the hands. Strong resin case and reasonable lume. Quite small but a reasonable man’s resin strap. Ten year battery.
Five days US to the UK with good tracking. Arrived early.
All in all I’m chuffed.

El reloj esta genial, es cómodo para el día a día mas si sumamos que dura la pila 10 años y es sumergible a 100 metros, lo tengo desde hace unos días y va bien, es igual a la foto.

Reloj con la garantía de ser un “Casio”, Caja y extensible de resina lo cual le da una apariencia muy juvenil, apta para mis fines: Obsequi a mi sobrino. Él quedó satisfecho ya que su esfera en color vino y su acabado refectante lo hacen lucir al contrastar con el negro de la caja.

I purchased this very inexpensive but gorgeous watch for myself. After buying Victorinox Swiss Army Field Women’s Watch Rubber Sport Strap Date Feature and HOT RED Dial 24999 from another site (Amazon no longer carries it) only to discover that the band was too small, I couldn’t send it back but I really do want it. By the time I get around to going to a jewelry store to have a band put on the battery will probably have worn out. This was a much less tiring fix to my dilemma. I absolutely LOVE this gorgeous watch. I don’t care that it’s a man’s watch because it’s just right for me! Oh, and the hands REALLY ARE luminescence at night. Makes me feel like a kid with a flashlight under the sheet looking at my new toy. Did I say I love my new watch, well I do. Wow, and a 10-year battery. It may outlast me. I hope not but in 10 years I will simply buy another one or whatever is the current thing then.

I purchased a Casio Men’s SGW100-1V Digital Compass Twin Sensor Sport Watch from Amazon last year for hubby and he is very pleased with it. The watches are VERY affordable!

Update 11-05-14: I’ve purchased another one of these lovely watches for myself when the price went down recently. I will keep one in the car so that when I forget to put my watch on I will have one because the battery will be good for 10 years, even if it’s only five years it’s worth it.

Had a little trouble at the beginning setting the date, but eventually got it. You do it with the middle position of the knob. However, it only goes one way so if you happen to pass the day you wanted, you have to cycle all the way through to get it again. Other than that, the only minor complaint is that the hands are not very luminous in the dark, even after plenty of time exposed to light. Overall, it is a decent watch for the money. Very light and very comfortable. And of course, very good looking depending on your taste.

First of all: I bought this watch from Amazon US shipped to Germany.
Which turned out to be very fast (a week) and easy. Customs and transportation prepaid 🙂

I like this ruby-red watchface with it’s sunburst polish. It is awesome.

The movement keeps the time perfectly. About 1 second in 5 days!

The watch hands are perfectly aligned with the marks on the watchface.
The hands are luminous and keep some brightness over the dark hours.
Enough to read the time.
Whereas the luminous numbers are of no help. Too dim and an awkward font.

Now the disadvantage:
It is the watchband. This PUR stuff is very stiff and will break sooner or later.
Where later may be before the battery is exhausted.

The spare part is expensive! What a shame. About 1/3rd of the watch!
I already own another (black) MW600 for a few years, seldom worn, and had to replace the watchband.
I now use the AQ-180 spare part which fits perfectly, looks nice as well and is much cheaper.
Look out for watchbands with 14mm lug width and outer width between 22 and 24 mm.

Sidenote about the pricetag: I refer to German prices. Other countries may differ.

All in all I stick to the 5 stars.

Update: I got 2 years of excellent service from this watch. I rarely took it off, left in on for showers and all kinds of hard work, as well as for church and business zoom calls. People complimented me on the great looking watch. Whelp! All good things must end. January 21, 2023 the watchband broke, & when inspected it, both straps were brittle & cracked. Inflation has driven up replacement prices so much, I’m going to replace the watch with a fitness monitor, but I’ll miss this one, and maybe get another strap if prices ever come down.

Original review: I love this watch! Looks great, and is easy to read in both light and dark. My other Casio has been great for the past year, but not luminescent. Now I can see what time it is if I wake at 3am. My only issue, that is pretty minimal, is that this watch rotates up away from me on my wrist more than my previous watch. It’s still new though, so maybe the band will break in and find it’s sweet spot. For under $20 this is a fantastic value!
