Casio MRW200H Classic Unisex Analog Watch

As of this writing, I own 20 watches of varying price ranges. This watch is hands down probably #2 in preference out of all of them.

I love this watch! It’s light, easy to read, accurate (probably the most accurate watch that I own), and inexpensive enough that if I break it, I can replace it without any sort of hardship!

I’ve owned it for about a year at this point. I wear it a few times a week. I get complements on it all of the time. I’ve worn it during all kinds of activities, including swimming, and it’s worked like a champ through all of it!

If you like the look of this watch and the features? Buy it. Better yet, buy several. Get it in different colors. Then you can match it with your outfits. You won’t be disappointed!

Live by the ocean, so a dependable, waterproof watch is a must. After ruining an expensive Tag Heur on my sailboat, I discovered these Casio inexpensive durable, functional basic dive – type watches. I have two. A nylon brown strap one for hiking(Forester) and a resin rubber one for the beach and the boat. Last one lasted thru 10 years of abuse. The latest one went hiking on Mt. Rainier

Super light on the wrist to the point that I forget that I’m wearing it. I like the fact that the bezel rotates both ways & is silent with no “clicks”. Looks great too! Very happy with my purchase.

Over my 40 years of surfing, I’ve tried various surfer brand watches, mostly tide models, with some in the $200 range. Among them, my favorites have been the Freestyle watches, especially the Shark Tide, which stands out as the best tide and surf watch I’ve experienced. However, the Casio Unisex MRW200H-4BV, despite not featuring tide functions, has a less conspicuous surf look that I’ve come to appreciate, often receiving compliments for its understated style despite its lower price point.

For the past 18 months, this Casio watch has been my constant companion, accompanying me on my weekly surf sessions and beyond. Its durability and water resistance have impressed me, as well as its lightweight design. Notably, it fits comfortably under a wetsuit sleeve due to its moderate size. The crystal remains unscathed by sand or any other activities I engage in outside of surfing. The minor inconveniences are the date adjustment for months with fewer than 31 days and a sometimes stiff bezel, but these are minor issues considering the watch’s affordability. And should it ever get lost, its cost-effectiveness means I can easily replace it without a second thought.

Bought the Casio Unisex MRW200H-4BV Neo-Display watch to be a beater watch that can go from the gym to somewhat nicer event (in a pinch). Happy with the purchase. The analog hands and orange lettering makes the watch (IMHO) appear higher end than a comparably priced black plastic LCD watch. Unlike another reviewer, I have had no issues setting time, day or date.

PROS:
– The watch is neither excessively large nor thick.
– The orange lettering stands out nicely from the black face and is quite legible.
– The day / date are also large enough for me to read without reading glasses.
– The bezel turns smoothly (there are no “click” detents).
– 100M water resistance means that you don’t have to worry about it getting submerged when on (for example) a white water rafting trip.
– The plastic band is quite long, so if you have larger wrists it can accommodate you.

CONS:
– The photos give the impression of a thick, rugged band. That’s only from the front. After the first three ridges, the band turns flat and thin. A little disappointing, but not that big a deal, as the watch costs less than $20. But don’t expect the band to last very long if you don’t regularly wash sweat off the band.

– No electro-luminescent backlight; just some phosphor on the hands. The phosphor needs to be in the light for a while to “charge”. You need to be in a very dark room to see the hands glow, and even then, it’s not overly bright. Only the hands glow, NOT the numbers. E.g., this is NOT the watch to have with you if you think you’ll be in a dark place for a long time and will need to know the time.

Excelente pieza de horología. Un todo terreno. Con 100 metros de resistencia al agua es una excelente pieza para snorkelear, no para bucear. Por un precio increíble tienes bicel giratorio, y un diseño excelente. Me parece un poco parecido al tag heuer kith por supuesto para un presupuesto mucho más ajustado. Una compra súper recomendable.
