Noah Ahmed –
Aside from the case, I’ve pretty much never used most of the stock accessories, but even given that the overall value of this kit is great. It is definitely not silent, but still quiet enough that I can practice without disturbing anyone in an adjacent room, even at night when others are sleeping… that said, your mileage will vary based on who you live with (or around, in the case of an apartment dweller). The only thing I really don’t like about the violin itself is that the outputs from the pickups seem to be in mono, so when I try to use headphones to practice I only hear the processed signal in one ear, which just feels weird to me and makes me feel “off balance”. If you use this for recording like I do that’s remedied easily enough by recording the channel sound comes through on as a mono track then making it a stereo track with the same content in both channels. It also works well enough through an amp, which is a mono sound source anyway.
Three things that I did to make this a highly satisfactory setup overall was to get a different bow, install a set of Wittner fine-tune pegs, and pick up some rechargeable 9V batteries. I haven’t been able to find some kind of headphone adapter that will handle the mono-to-stereo conversion for use while practicing, so if anyone who reads this knows of such a thing, please let me know. Otherwise, as stated earlier, this is a perfectly workable violin, and a great deal given the price (even after the other investments listed above).

This gift was for my nine year old grand-daughter for Christmas and she just loved it.

Buen estuche, Presentación, calidad.

While I was tuning it the peg broke. So now I get to buy new pegs for it and no one has even gotten the chance to play because the strings do not stay tuned due to pegs slipping. There is a section on the back that did not get painted the blue color and it feels extremely flimsy. Not at all satisfied for the price I paid!

I love my violin. It’s system is very easy to use and the instrument comes with everything I needed to get started if I never owned one before.
