This bag is well worth the price. Not as heavy-duty as the Tuxedo Bag, but certainly gives adequate protection for the subway or car ride to the gig. Fits both my 88h & B3 just fine.

I would only buy this for an adult who knows, and understands of the bag is not going to protect the instrument in anyway.
After two days, my 13 year old had to send his instrument back to the shop for repairs because it had got banged up.
Perhaps I misunderstood the intended use for this bag. But he is back to using his wooden case full time.

I wanted an inexpensive gig bag for my straight tenor trombone, but this was NOT the way to go! It arrived tightly folded up in a bag (almost vacuum sealed) and in the week I had it, it never relaxed into a straight gig bag, not even when I put my trombone in it.
It has very little padding. It was too roomy for a straight tenor, so the bell jostled around inside. The slide pocket had nothing rigid to keep the slide secure, so it flopped around as well. The outer pocket ON the slide pocket has ZERO padding, so whatever you do, DO NOT put a mouthpiece in there, or you risk damaging both the mouthpiece AND your slide.
Two stars because the straps seem secure and it looks sleek.

I own quite a few cases for trombones, and I would say this is the highest price-to-quality case I’ve seen. Dare I say, this case is almost as good as Protec’s trombone gig bags, and those ones generally cost a fair bit more.
There is a pocket for the mouthpiece, but I personally would buy a mouthpiece pouch to put the mouthpiece in before putting it into that pocket; otherwise, the mouthpiece will be moving around a bit too much. That’s the only downside I can think of for this case.
If you’re expecting a Marcus Bonna quality case, then you’re going to be disappointed. If you want a case that will allow you to safely put this through an airline baggage handling system, then keep looking. If you want a hard case that you can just throw around and abuse all the time, then this isn’t for you, but if you want a soft case that’s similar to the ones that more famous brands offer, then this is a great, cheap alternative.

I searched a long time for a lightweight, affordable gig bag for my Bach 42B. My old case was too heavy for me to use anymore. Other cases I tried either did not fit my horn or were too flimsy to feel safe using. This bag is lightweight and comfortable without feeling like I’m sacrificing the protection of my trombone. There is ample padding. I only wish the shoulder straps could be flipped the other way, but that is a trivial issue. Overall, I am pleased with this case!
