I’ve been using Techron for years. This stuff really works. I use it for every 5,000 miles or every oil change. It really helps to keep your engine running at its best. You will see your gas mileage improve after using this product. Highly recommended over other fuel cleaners!

I was told to use this fuel system additive by my Mercedes dealer once a year or every 10k miles to keep the fuel system from gunking up. I follow that along with using top-tier premium gasoline. That combination has resulted in 70k miles of zero maintenance issues. Kinda pricy for what it is but so much less then the cost of a fuel system cleanout by the dealer.

There are so many products that claim to do what Techron does and more… Techron comes from a major manufacturer of engine fuels and products so at least it has a pedigree. I’m more worried about dirty fuel injectors and aging gasoline so I run a bottle of Techron every two or three time I fill up. I don’t ever add more than recommended and I use quality fuel from known sources. I really can’t say whether it helps or not, I just feel more comfortable using it on occasion. It would be nice to see a serious study, comparing the long-term results of this product and others in controlled tests. Characteristics compared would have to include fuel injectors, intake valves, carbon on valves/heads and pistons.

I had a riding lawn mower engine that was seized up from sitting too long…I added some techron directly through the spark plug hole and let it sit overnight…The next day, it not only turned over, but started right up. I use it in all of my engines.

I believe these help keep my car running well. I use one every couple of months to help keep things clean in my engine and gas tank. My car has 300,000 miles on it and still runs great. But you do have to maintain your car with oil changes and stuff or it’s not going to end well. 😉
