    IMPORTANT please read –
12-18-2022 Update – It’s accurate about the thin aluminum grate warping during use. Pictured is another per-camping test with a heavy GSI 36 cup percolator coffee pot. Burner output is great, but it took about 30 minutes in 40 degree F ambient temp to come to a boil. After the stove cooled, I noticed that the grill grate had drawn (bowed into the burner) about 1/8″ in the center. Don’t know if it was due to constant high heat, weight, or both. End result is that this cooling grate should be a thicker cast iron…

A fantastic portable propane stove + grill, but now I know why a solid griddle is not offered. The grilling burner needs air / ventilation to properly/ safely operate (see photos). Using anything larger than a 9″ Lodge cast iron pan will create a combustion air deficit, resulting in propane flames collecting in the grilling pit area and coming up beyond the stove around the 10-1/2″ X 10-10-1/2″ Lodge reversable grilling pan and Lodge 12″ solid griddle. See photos. This is not a manufacturer defect or error, but it is a different setup compared to standard home gas stoves where the burners have plenty of ventilation with the raised grates to the stove top surface. I just did the physical tests. Have no regrets about the purchase and look forward to years of use

Perfect in every way, burner is big enough for a camp pot or kettle and grill cooks plenty for a family of 4 or 5 in just minutes. Doesn’t take too much propane because it is so fast; quick cooking and experienced no issues with unevenness mentioned by other reviews. Cooked dinner and breakfast and didn’t finish a regular propane can. One thing to note is that the starter button is awkward to push–the button is in the front and you have to push it in really hard (toward the back of the stove), which makes the stove slip slide backwards while the flame bursts up– kind of feels dangerous but it was ok. Takes some getting used to, and you should support the stove with your other hand to avoid slipping around while you push it. Also, very happy we got the case–the MEDIUM one (there are 3 sizes), which will protect this and hold 2 cans of propane nicely. Griddle sold separately was a great purchase too–made additional use of pans unnecessary and is much better nonstick than any camping pan.
This is a great camping staple and it looks like it will be used for many happy opportunities in the future. Such a great value and so much fun!

For a multi-purpose propane stove, this does a fantastic job. There are a couple of caveats, though: While the grill area is a good size, you have to be careful with how well you have the grease trap inserted into the brackets below the unit, or you might get gunk all over. Also, the pot/pan burner is very good, but it’s very close to the left-hand wind panel, so for larger pots or pans you’ll have to detach it from the lid and lay it down.

That said, it’s easy to use, decently easy to clean up, versatile to cook on, and collapses down for carrying fairly well. If I could make one recommendation to Coleman to improve – put a clip (maybe on the inside of the lid) to attach the propane stem for storage and carrying. The unit ships with the stem under the grill, and it makes a hell of a racket when you carry it around like that.

Overall the first use was great! Easy to set up and use. Made a pot of beans while grilling hot dogs and burgers…plenty of space to cook for four hungry bellies! I placed aluminum foil under the grilling space for easier cleanup. I would like a flat griddle option for 5 stars but this will do – lost use of my kitchen for a while but we are eating very well with a very small footprint with this! Light enough to carry, heats fast and cools fast. Overall very happy with this purchase for only $99

This thing rocks. I used it almost daily for a half a year and it worked great. It’s worth it to get a model like this with the stovetop burner and the grill space. You can cook on both simultaneously without any issues. It’s not the easiest to keep the underside of the grill clean. The surface material there is challenging to clean. Consider putting some tinfoil under there to keep things cleaner longer. The grill works well and you can get it hot enough for steaks or any other meats.

One of the best things my husband and I like about this grill/stove combo is that you can heat water or beans on the stove part at the same time you can cook on the grill. The grill will also accommodate a large skillet (while also cooking on the stove part). We have used this while camping for two years now and have had no problems. It lights easily every time.

Exelente para acampar la probé y sin ningun problema, claro con todas las medidas de seguridad. Pd: la carne la queme porque era la primera vez que la usaba y quería curar la parrilla

The drip tray came broken. I’m having a heck of a time trying to get new one rather than shipping it back. Makes no sense. Apart from that I’ve owned one before and they work great for camping. Or quick grill up at home instead of lighting big one

It’s been a long time since I’ve been camping, but I know that gear wears out over time. So this review is after a two day/one weekend use. Everything works great! I’m happy with the purchase. I especially like going with the option of the grill/stove combo. Was a bit worried about some of the negative reviews showing the grill melting, but it appears that people were putting large skillets on the grill and the fire/heat had nowhere to go. Use the grill for what it is…a grill, and I imagine it will be fine and should last a long time.

I have not experienced the comments of other reviewers, especially ones that talk about having to pump up the fuel supply. There is no pumping of the fuel. This is propane. You hook it up, turn it on and press the igniter. My came on instantly. There is a gap between the igniter wire and the burner. If a dry press of the igniter button does not initiate a spark then you may need to adjust the gap between the wire and the burner.

The stove burner quickly boiled a 6 cup coffee percolator. Perhaps 5 minutes. The griddle side cooked breakfast sausage patties quickly as well. This is not particularly easy to clean. The griddle part cleaned with a soft cloth after a good soak in hot soapy water. The rest of the under area rinses well with a pot of boiled water. Just what you would expect to do after use. I also cooked hamburgers by the dozen and the horrific mess left cleaned up with persistent hot soapy water and a good rinse. Again, as expected.
Grease trap is way to small but keep an eye on it and it performs well.

Overall, I’m happy. I do not know how long the nonstick coating on the grill part will last. Without metal utensils and without using a scouring pad on the surface the grill life may last through this season. I’m looking for a replacement as I expect one will be needed.
