Love the blackout feature. It definitely keeps it cooler and minimal light gets in, so you can sleep in no problem. The rest of the features are like any other tent.

I recently purchased this summer for a camping trip coming up in August 2021. If you are familiar with this type of DOME tent it should take you less than 10 minutes to set up. [Of course, when you first receive your shipment you want to open it you make sure all the pieces are there, no tears, etc. set up tent at home which took us a bit over 45 minutes trying to figure out where the small pole goes (hint: goes in the cover of the tent…lol] The tent is wonderful, held up during the down pours we had, no leaks and it’s complete darkness. You can never tell if it’s morning or evening because the tent is complete darkness. We did not have any bad experiences with this tent. So far so good I give it 5 STARS.

It hasn’t rained on me yet, but I applied seam waterproofing to the seams on the fly .

This tent was phenomenal! It was super easy to put up, fairly light weight, however was able to withstand an insane storm (torrential downpour with high winds) without getting a drop of water inside! It was also roomy and comfortable. 10/10 would highly recommend!

Excellent. Buy 6 nail pegs, read instructions, put pole in rain fly BEFORE attaching !! Push poles out carefully in dirt or MUD, ends will plug up !! Worked great for overlanding snow camp,10 deg F low. Full tarp tub no footprint needed, priceless !!! Bone dry. Main poles go in and out easy. Can walk in, stand/crouch in center, change winter cloths, I’m 6 foot, so very nice. Its 4 Person 7′ deep x 9′ wide, great for one person in snow, 80″x 30″ pad, heater, gear, door mat, freezer thermometer, even small table and short chair. LOL Zippered e port worked perfect for propane hose. Nice and dark, need lantern if windows closed in daylight, I slept in very late, perfect. Pitch black at night, so keep A light handy. Should be great for 2 people and gear. I own 3 Sundomes, love em. It takes alot longer to heat up than my 2 Person, like 20 min vs 5 min.

Bought this for a trip up to Vancouver Island and was not disappointed. Setup was very simple, as was take-down and packing up. “Darkroom” fabric worked pretty well, we were definitely able to sleep later in the morning. Tent size was nice and roomy for 2 people car camping. Only two small storage pockets so don’t count on much storage.
Build quality seems to be ok but I did notice a few small defects, and the poles don’t seem all that strong. Hence taking a star off my review.

Big caveat: We’ve only used this tent in good weather, so I have no idea how it holds up in heavy rain. I’ll update my review if needed. So far, a good value for just over 100 bucks!

This is the 4-person dark room version. It is very cool looking and can be set up/taken down by one person relatively easily. It really does fit back into its bag (with a little squishing effort), along with all the parts. The materials are typical quality for a tent at this price point. Expect to seal the seams if you use in wet environment. The corner zippered opening for a power cord was one of the selling features for me, but if nothing else gets seam-sealed, THIS spot should. Everyone who has mentioned this feature has said it leaks in the rain. Caveat emptor. Also, the vent pictured on the bottom rear for some versions is not present in the dark room version. Some have complained about that vent being a source for water getting into tent; others like the air it provides. YMMV. But if you like it really dark when you sleep, this is the tent for you.

The walls and underside of the rainfly are very opaque, and the rainfly extends a tad lower on this model than the other ones–another selling point for me. Should you sleep with the rainfly off, it’s very open and airy, but when buttoned up, it’s extremely dark. I should mention that below where the tent wall and the bathtub-type floor meet, the flooring material that curves up is not as light occluding as the other material. So, in the day time, there’s a band of light around the bottom (see picture). Could be a potential future modification with duct tape, but air mattress(es) would likely cover most of that. However, that raises another issue.

As other reviewers have mentioned, this is NOT a tent for 4 people. Only 2 adults max, and they would have to be pretty friendly. In the picture of the inside, there’s a 3X6 foot pad on the floor that takes up a bit less than half the 9X7 foot floor space. Another pad/air mattress will fit with a bit of room in between them, but whoever is sleeping on the right side will be partially blocking the zipper for the D-door. So, you cannot fit 2 high air mattresses or cot beds and still have access to the door. You’ll also be touching the tent walls while lying down this way on any pad or mattress higher than about 4-6 inches. A solo camper or a couple could put their *one* larger bed sideways and still fit in the tent, but for a couple, the person sleeping on the back side will likely disturb their partner to get out of tent. For these reasons, for 2 adults the 6-person or larger tent is probably a better option.

This handy 106″ X 83″ footprint tarp is the best fit for a ground cloth for the 4-person tent (which should not extend beyond the edges of your tent–a common camper mistake): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JGC66XL/ref=asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It even comes in its own stuff sack, which you can stuff into the tent bag.

UPDATE: Have now camped out in this tent, and the very first night it rained off and on all night. Not a drop in the tent, though, even with a power cord coming through the zippered access point for it (albeit, with it zipped snugly against the cord, not left wide open). The tent fabric is also so dark that you can hardly see a lamp on inside the tent from outside. The privacy that affords is appreciated.

Update #2 (7/2019): Have camped out in this tent several times now and it continues to perform well. It does flex a lot under windy conditions, but it held up fine. Make sure you properly stake out ALL the guy lines. One odd thing we noticed was that the lime-green rainfly seemed to attract a lot of small flying bugs! They just hung out on it, but did not get into tent, so no big deal.

I love this tent!! It is easy to set up. I was amazed I couldn’t see my spouse inside, moving around and getting ready for bed. I’ve had it on two outings. During the second outing, we had extreme winds (60 MPH), and the tent did not withstand the wind. I won’t expect many tents to withstand that kind of wind. On the positive side, the damage to the tent was less than I had initially thought. In the end, the rain fly took the worst damage, with many pin holes (lots of tent tape had been applied). The main tent lost one of the tie-down loops in one of the corners (I hope to sew that back in). One pole section was splintered (currently held with duct tape). Once I can get the corner of the tent fixed, I will test the tent for leaks to see if I missed any holes in the fly. I would buy this tent!

Das Zelt hat dem Wind über 35 km/h, wie es in der Beschreibung stand nicht standgehalten. Leider sind die 30 Tage Rückgabe schon vorbei. Ersatzstangen bräuchte man.

Definitely helps block the light for early morning sunrises. It does get very hot during the daytime though, make sure to unzip the window covers to allow airflow. Very easy to setup and withstood a few thunderstorms already. Dimensions are accurate.

Okay, we’ve used this tent a few times now, including during a torrential downpour and some steady rains, and it has performed flawlessly. I even left the window open during the downpour and it stayed dry. The darkening effect is good; in the evening/dawn and nighttime, it’s absolutely pitch black, and during the daytime it’s about 90% dark. So dark that it makes it difficult to get the inside set up even with the door and the back window open, so my only suggested improvement would be one or two more windows to add more light when needed. I suppose one could hold off on putting up the rain fly until that was done, but I’m not likely to ever remember to do it that way. I’m able to set it up on my own in under 10 minutes – a few poles, a few clips, voila! – and with some finesse get it to fit back into the bag afterward. The 6-person is large enough for my family of four to sleep side-by-side on our average-sized sleeping pads and keep most of our gear at our feet (a large dog would also fit at our feet).
