Excellent tent. The D-door is great during the day for quick in and out access with the option to zip up the door for bedtime. The LED light is also great with the easy access on/off switch right at the door.

I gave it to my son as a gift. He loves it, especially the door that “swings” shut. No need to fuss with zippers. The supplier charged me duty to have it shipped across the border but when I complained, they happily refunded the money I paid in duty.

I purchased this tent after about a month of online research. This tent had all the nice additions that I was looking for. Have used it once so far for a week end and had no problems. Some nice additions are the poles for the door, automatic rolling windows and my girlfriend cant believe we have a tent with a light switch. Once I recieved it, with no issues as usual from Amazon, I spray waterproofed it with 2 coats. Didnt rain on our trip but did the night I left it up after I sprayed it. No leaks. Gets pretty warm in the sun but with a nice breeze and the rain fly on correctly you get nice airflow through the tent. The stakes are the smaller metal ones and will bend, one already did. I will be upgrading those. Lots of room for a queen air matress, loads of gear and 2 dogs. Could easly sleep 4. Easy set up and believe it or not I have packed it back in the bag both times I have taken the tent down. Can fully assemble the tent in ten mins once you know what and where everything goes. Will probably get the smaller version for the kids room. I would recomend this to anyone who is looking for lots of room, good stable coverage and a lill comfort when camping.

Update. I just read some negative reviews about this tent. It seems the people that wrote them don’t have a clue. This “Lisa” said you can’t get replacement poles. Uh… YES YOU CAN…. I have. Just call Coleman if you don’t find them on their web site. I broke one of the rain fly poles because I mistakenly tried to put it in the door . Not Coleman’s fault! I did not find the pole on Coleman’s web site so I called them and they sent me a package of 2 FREE! The package did not come when expected so they sent me 2 more … again…FREE. The other issues people are complaining about are not an issue at all.
This is not a tent for cold weather and Coleman doesn’t claim that it is. Great small family tent. Just PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT YOU ARE DOING and you won’t have any problems. Coleman customer service is top notch. Some people just like to complain. Buy it and enjoy it.
This tent has been through many heavy down pours without one drop of water leaking inside. It was up at one time for two months.
I covered all the seams with tent rain sealer when I got it.
Easy for one person to put up if you do it right.
I do not stake it down first. I put both poles in then start with the pole that is over the other one putting the ends in the rings on the tent, then the other pole. I don’t stake it down until it is completely set up so I can adjust it.
Putting back in the bag is easy if you fold it like it came. I took many photos of it while unfolding first time so I could easily fold it the same way. I also marked the folds on the tent bottom for quick reference.
It does sleep 6 but if you are planning on having 6 get a 10 man tent. This 6 person tent is perfect for my wife and I with a double high queen size Coleman inflatable bed with quilted top.

I finally can say that I risked spending a few rainy days and nights in this beauty and voila! –No wetness at all inside. The tent held up perfectly. I knew it was going to rain so for once I tied down most of the stakes on the fly. (I usually only stake down a couple of them.) Besides all the great features of the hinged D-door, the lighting system, the nice head-room as well as the standard (familiar) style of set-up, I am assured of a dry experience. The angle of the fly above the windows is just right for letting in air but not rain. And even if it were raining “sideways” you can always roll-up enough of the window to stop it.
BTW, for those of you wondering how the windows roll up …. do you remember those “slap” wrist bands from years ago? That’s how these windows roll up — you insert one of them into a sleeve running up and down the center of each window, and with the pressure from the zippers on each side, the window naturally comes up and down. I don’t bother to remove them when taking the tent down.
This tent is a gem for the money and I do not intent to replace it. One pole split a bit – I scotch-taped it and it is just fine. I use a ground tarp under it, have never used seam-sealer on it, and love it – even in the rain.

Good product, spacious and tall enough you can actually stand up. We experienced some rain in the woods but we did not have a leak!. It would be nice if it comes with a protective mat to put the tent on top.

I love the Coleman hinged door feature! I don’t know why all tents don’t have this! We have about 10 tents of varying sizes and brands. Tiny tents for backpacking, Coleman WeatherMaster for family camping that holds 4 large cots and tons of gear, eureka because my husband considers them THE tent for Boy Scout camping, and more.
My husband and I were looking for a tent we could stand up in. One that we could step inside the door (not crawl into). A tent that could hold two large cots and lots of gear when we camp for a week but was light enough to carry in and out of camp (not light enough for backpacking, but under 20 lbs). We needed something that could withstand the heavy rains of southeast, gulf of Texas. We wanted a reasonable priced tent…my husband had his eye on a 6 person Eureka but they were about $600, plus all the custom add ons, I wanted a better deal. We were looking for our Goldilocks tent – just right!
Classified as a 6 person tent, this Coleman tent could sleep 7 sardine style. Large dome – I think 6 feet tall in the center. Easy to set up and take down. The two of us can do it in about 15 minutes including all the stakes and tie downs.
It was windy and rainy the first night we used it, and inside the tent stayed dry!
Overall this tent checks every box and then some. Plus that hinged door. Seriously genius. Our WeatherMaster had a hinged door. I love not having to unzip and zip and unzip and zip all the time. Door stays closed all the time – no bugs or creepy crawlies get in…but it’s like a house door, just open and close thanks to the great design!
Another win for Coleman. This is our go to tent for my husband and I when we go with our Boy Scout troop for the weekend or even for a full week. Not too big, but definitely big enough! Love it!
