We are fairly experienced campers and often get Coleman tents as we like the design and quality. This tent however we were not impressed with. The second day we were camping we had a rain and heavy windstorm which battered our tent. We had a pole splinter. One of the stake loops seperated from the tent. It was easy to set this up and we liked the screen room but this just doesn’t seem to hold up to Coleman standards I’m used to.

Since I couldn’t enclose my deck due to wood prices this year, was looking at the coleman screen house to setup on our deck. Wanted to see the outdoors, but also wanted protection from the rain. Decided to buy a coleman tent instead as my “she shed”. I can’t get my husband out of it! We hang out there in evenings alone….without the bugs. Been camping since I was a child, about 50 years.
All windows open for good breeze, yet you can close up tent for privacy or rain, & my furniture stays dry. Small ceiling loops inside tent to hang lightweight lights. Also, flap for running electricity without the bugs getting in is great. Remember to make sure to secure the tent properly for wind & storm protection. It must be attached to something to secure it in place. Well worth the money. Coleman is on the ball, and I wouldn’t buy anything but coleman. You get what you pay for!

I bought this tent to take my three grandchildren ages 5, 6 and a petite 10 year old camping. I bought the largest tent that I thought I could lift. The setup was easy to understand, but took a lot of strength to fit the metal poles into the necessary holders. I had my granddaughter push up inside the tent with a broom to produce more flexing in the roof and I was able to fit the metal side poles into their sockets. I don’t think I would want to do this without the help of another adult again. That said, the tent design is great! It was very roomy and had big windows that zipped closed. The reason I give it four stars is because it did leak a little bit. However, we were in a horrible storm with rain like a pressure washer for an hour and a half. The tent sustained 75 to 80 mph straight line winds. My granddaughter and I both leaned into the Windward corners of the tent to keep it from collapsing and it stood the storm! When I set the tent up I did put a tarp underneath it to protect the bottom and even though a ton of water was trapped between the tarp and the tent none came through the floor. As best I could tell, none of the seams leaked, the water that came in was through the rain fly. We probably had a total of a cup to a cup and a half of water throughout the tent. I was very pleased with how well it performed under such extreme conditions. In the morning there were only a couple of tents left around us and they were decimated, poles were splintered and fabric was torn. Nearby, a fence with metal poles was blown over and the poles were bent at a 90° angle. This is a great tent for a large group great ventilation and lots of large windows. Others who saw it still standing in the morning were amazed! The next time I take it out, I will waterproof the rain fly and check the weather.

DO NOT BUY IT! First rainstorm the tent leaked all along where the seams are sewn onto the tarp-like bottom on all 4 sides it leaked. Also the water came through the zipper where you can feed an electrical cord through. The leaking was so bad that we had to line all sides of the floor with towels and in some places put containers down to catch the water just so we could get through the night and not get wet. Water also came through the side walls. The rainfly also pooled up on the top even though all sides of it were lined up correctly when we put it on during setup. Obviously very poor quality tent for a rainstorm. We are returning it and buying a different brand right away. DO NOT BUY IT!

We are seasoned campers and this by far the worst tent I have ever put together. The material was paper thin and see thru. There are tiny little pin holes around the stitching where you can see sun light come through. I wouldn’t trust this in the slightest wind or lightest rain. Make sure you check your zippers before you go camping. Our tent was missing a zipper on one of main panels. Returned for a full refund and purchased a different Coleman tent.

My wife and I upgraded to this tent from our small dome tent this summer, and it has been awesome. We got this much bigger tent expecting to be camping with our daughter next summer, and the space it provides is amazing. Held up well do the weather and overall kept us dry during the rains.

The tent was easy to set up. I highly recommend doing it with two people. We had only one point when we were confused as to what to do. It was in putting the rainfly on and the red pole that is the front door overhang. It wasn’t obvious where the pole went but we eventually figured it out. The instructions are very generic and didn’t address this part of assembly.
It is very big which was perfect for our family of 5. We camp with 3 twin air mattresses and a DiscOBed bunk bed. There is plenty of room for this set up and for maneuvering around. It is definitely tall enough for standing upright.
Large windows were great for ventilation!
The only concern will be making sure we get camping spots that can accommodate it.
Love this tent so far!
