Had my truck stolen a few months ago. This is a must have. It has great reviews and I can see why. I love the option to add GPS as well. Highly recommend!

If you want the easier install, you will also need a $50-$80 T-Harness to wire it (Not included). The “programming” cable is mostly a sham, it uploads “vehicle firmware” to your Blade cartridge but you still need to program the thing to the car. All it does is set some wire functions which you could do manually on the box itself if they wanted to let you. After that its garbage unless you’re an install shop.

The manuals are confusing and all over the place, Compustar, iDatastart, MyFirstTech, what am I installing again? which site do I use? The one that works or the one with the same name? Why does this use Java? nothing opens.
My Ford T-Harness (FTI-FTDK1) cable must have been a different revision because it had a few extra connectors in the middle of the cable with no instructions on which to plug in, somewhere either or option, like I can connect this 2 pin connector to these 2 pink wires or the green or nothing., The I had to take the pink wire from the connector and remove it, then remove the blue wire and move it to the pink wire spot, cut a loop on the harness and on and on, yes this stuff is literally part of the install instructions.
Oh and that cable options you get will differ from the manufacturers sites to the places you can buy them, i.e. go look up Ford T-Harness cables on one of the several company sites and tell me what you see then go to buy a Ford T-Harness and tell me what options you get.

For a Ford Edge with Auto lights the instructions list doing all these other steps with relays, I for 100000% sure have auto lights, I know what auto lights are, but the wires they say to use don’t exist in my connector, so I wired them for standard lights, and I get running lights for the most part. Would love to change some settings to see if maybe thats all that needs to be done BUT…. BUT I need to go through the manual and click beep my way through the settings with the remote because that cable to “program” this thing barely programs crap. The more I’m typing this the more I hate how much I wasted on it.

Also you won’t be able to follow any one set of instructions, the T-Harness is just for the harness but you need it because the control module instructions will tell you how to wire the box completely, then you should find at least 2 other install manuals for your car to cross reference and out of the differences you can roll some dice and pick either the ones that either must be for your car because the others don’t seem to apply, wrong wire colors or missing connectors, or average them and take the ones which align to each other more.
Your factory keys will work which is nice but the LCD remote won’t have any idea what’s going on until you tell it to do something. 2 way 2023 Compustar Tech whooohoooo
And with the remote, the icons suck, hard to tell what’s going on, still need a micro-usb to charge it, you have to disable the beeps completely because the remote has VERY limited options and I mean VERY limited.

All-In-All it was a huge waste of money and time; these are 100% geared towards install shops and maximizing profits. If you want to join us in 2023 and use your phone you need, you guessed it, ANOTHER ADD-ON….. Introducing DRONE, yes DRONE, if you want to use your phone you need DRONE.

Sad thing is, I have the even more expensive model, which is still a dated POS

Save your money, get the CHEAPEST and I mean CHEAPEST remote start ONLY module that uses YOUR FACTORY keys, then get a blinking LED for your dash and call it good!

I disabled the chirps on my siren cause you look like a DBAG and the ULTRA LOUD DBAG 9000 remote BEEEP BEEEP BEEEPBEEPBEEEPBEEEWOOOBEEEP doesnt help
