Concerned about quality as this was shipped and arrived without the screw to hold the battery door in place.

I have a Pulse Ox as I’ve had thyroid issues and needed to monitor my heart rate. My grandchildren always wanted to test themselves with my device when they visited. Most recently, one grandchild was rushed to the emergency room, and he was diagnosed with RSV. Then I knew it would be important to have a device that could read the oxygen and heart rate for the young ones.
This is an attractive, well-made Pulse Oxygen reader. It was difficult for me to get the back off so I could insert batteries. (It comes with a mini screw driver so you don’t have to scour the junk drawer to find one.) I thought my arthritis made it more difficult for me to get the back off, but when I read the reviews on this, it seems others have had the same problem. It feels very tight coming off, and you are going to think you will break it, but you won’t.
Everything else about it is pretty straight forward. The numbers are easy to read, and the device is easy to operate.
My only real complaint is that it should have come with the batteries so I could be up and running immediately. I know a lot of items come disassembled because of shipping, but this would not have been the case with this item. Always make it as easy for the customer to use your product as you can. I took off a star for the effort it took to get that back closure off and for the absence of batteries.

Like other people, I didn’t realize this was a children’s model. I thought it was just for small adults, but not docking for that since it appears to work just fine on my big fat sausage fingers too. I bought it for my wife who is of very petite build. We compared this to her fitbit watch which also tracks her oxygen, and they both gave the same reading, so both appear to be accurate.

Display randomly flips direction
When used it has the same exact readings as my Zacurate 500E oximeter, but while the Zacurate allows you to switch the display to which ever direction you desire, the CONTEC just randomly flips the display, seemingly always upside down of where you want it to be to read it properly. This isn’t a fatal flaw, but it’s annoying.
