This product serves its real purpose for me and that is to be able to taste and consume different wines and not worry about spoiling them only because you can’t finish the whole bottle in 5 days.

The Coravin is for saving very expensive bottles that you may only want one or two glasses from at a time. Not for everyday use. I wanted to try a little bit of a very old bottle but didn’t want to open the whole thing. The Coravin was the answer. Easy to use with a little forethought. Recommended.

The system dispenses wine as it should albeit very slowly. Once you pull the needle out however, the cork doesn’t necessarily reseal. I turned the bottle upside down 2 days after I pulled the needle out and it still leaked. I think recorking a bottle has the same if not better effect. I would not recommend this.

Just like others, the needle broke on mine after 6-7 uses. Oh, but the good news is you can buy a new needle from them for $30 plus shipping.
