Allow to charge and keep charged inbetween uses. You’ll get about 8 full size espresso cups before needing a good charge. Once it’s telling you to charge, it takes about half a day for it trickle back to full.
Incredibly easy setup and use. Uses the nespresso type pods. Wash before use and put back together as it came. Water goes into the top resovior which has a removable seal top. Though, you can not travel with water in it as the top is easily taken off. Hold power for 3 sec to start hot brew. Included cup has grooves to guide it closed or to rest on the edges of the maker to give it room to brew. The only downside is the grooves are shallow and its possible to take a few tries getting it to sit right. Also most of the times it will sit crooked no matter how you adjust it. Hopefully they fix that in the future.
The body is metal and I got the green one. The color is metallic and shiny. Uniform coloring and solid build. Comes with a pouch but you’ll mostly just travel with it as it is.
Instructions do not make much sense. Though just like it shows. Its the 4 steps. Add the pod, close, add water, press button 3 seconds. The main things are: have it ready as shown. Set it up on the coffee cup/container, add water then press the button.
Great for espresso at home, in the office or on the go. Not meant for making CUPS of coffee but rather 1-3 espresso a day. Any more than that, you’re better of getting regular coffee.

Design-wise, this is a very neat machine. It looks and feels perfect, with a good heft, a nice carrying bag and sleek design. The green color is gorgeous, this is a premium product to whip out on camping trips or road trips. It’s a well-built metal body with a great design. On the other hand, getting this to work is super confusing. It shouldn’t be, Nepresso capsules are foolproof and simple to use by nature. But somehow it was still very confusing, and I’m not entirely sure if I’m using it right still. Oh well, it did make espresso, so it’s working. I was surprised a cordless device with rechargeable battery would have the power to make espresso, but it managed. Two people were able to drink from one charge, so that’s impressive and the coffee was good. It is a bit of a hassle to get set up, as you can’t have it ready to go before, so it will depend on how passionate you are about fresh espresso, how much you like this product. If you travel a lot, this is the size of a water bottle and easy to carry and quite solid. So I can see it being a good option for portable espresso.

On the one hand, this is an innovation that I’m glad has finally made its way past the idea or concept stage, and I’m impressed with the way this little machine works. On the other hand, the experience as a “new” user (to a device like this at least) was less than ideal. Someone absolutely needs to hand the instruction manual to a person who has never used this type of device and see how well they can follow the steps. I’m not just talking about headers in one language with instructions in another, which is a thing. I’m talking about the mondo-bizarro board-game flowchart map that seems purposely designed to intentionally confuse the reader. I was unreasonably annoyed trying to make sense of the instructions. Fortunately I’m not a complete moron and I figured it out. And hey, only one pod got wasted in the process. (Sorry, pod – I appreciate your sacrifice!)
As for the quality of the espresso… well, it’s about as good as I had hoped, which is still better than I expected. So after getting a very nice coffee machine with various espresso-tastic functions, I’ve become a bit spoiled. The idea of making “pod espresso” seems… like, can that even BE espresso? But anyway.
That being said, for what this is, it’s pretty darned awesome. I’m loving that I’m taking a road trip in a few weeks, but I will NOT suffer through several days in cars and hotels, during which time the only “good” coffee to be had will require a drive-through along the highway. No, siree! Now I’ll be able to begin each day with what I lovingly refer to as “TV dinner espresso.” You see, to me the various pod systems are like “TV Dinners” from the 50s-60s. They’re the convenient (or portable, as the case may be) method for having something you want, like dinner or espresso, but without the nuance that goes along with the less convenient version. So this is all the convenience and portability of espresso *anywhere* with the compromise that the espresso you end up with will be only as good as “pod coffee” can be.
I probably sound like I’m dogging on pod systems and I’m not, I swear. They’re awesome… for what they are. And this product is an example of innovation being done well. They just need to have someone really read the User Manual and help them lay it out in a more organized, easier-to-follow, user-friendly way.
In all, very pleased with this product and happy to recommend it to anyone who loves their daily espresso… and also who isn’t so much of a coffee snob they refuse to use pods.

Great little machine. Really handy in that it uses the pods so it’s easy to clean ready for the next cup while on the go. It’s really sturdy and not too heavy to carry. I like to use mine when I’m out in the car. the initial cost of the machine may seem like a lot but when you consider the price of a coffee out it soon pays for itself. It’s quite quick to make the coffee even using room temperature water, and certainly quicker than going to a shop. I don’t tend to use it with hot water as I find by the time you’ve heated the water another way you might as well have just used the machine. I have one of the older models and the buttons on this upgrade are more responsive than my original machine. As a big fan of bottle green I’m also loving the colour! It’s USB so easy to recharge.
The crema in the coffee in my photo shows the quality of the coffee it produces.

The Portable Espresso Coffee Machine by COTGCO is a handy device that uses original Nespresso-style pods, making it convenient for quick, on-the-go coffee. While I haven’t mastered all of its features yet, I can consistently brew a cup of coffee, which is great for my needs. There are additional buttons and functions that I’m still learning, but even without them, the machine serves its purpose well.
It’s compact enough to leave out on my desk at the office, and it looks clean and neat. The convenience of having a portable espresso machine that works with familiar pods adds a lot of value, especially for busy workdays.

We took this to a summer camp where they serve cafeteria coffee in the hope that we would have something a bit better. This is a high-quality, solid item. It was small enough that it was easy to pack in our camping luggage.
It definitely makes espresso, not coffee. I suppose you could use it without a pod and dispense some more hot water into it, but I feel like it would just be watered down. We got Nespresso pods and the espresso was pretty tasty and a good temperature. If you are someone who camps or hikes a lot and enjoys espresso, then this could be a good item for you.

Very modern looking, easy to carry and use Nespresso machine. I found all those 3rd party capsules that you can add your own grounds so you don’t need to ONLY use those usually pods. Works great and I like using my own beans.
