Purchased to replace an aging MAC tubing cutter that no longer has replacement blades available. So far, it work great. My only complaint is of the catch that holds it closed when not in use – I always have to look at it to unlatch to right side/right direction. That in itself isn’t enough to dock stars IMHO – it cuts tubing just fine. 1/2″ poly line, 5/8″ reinforced rubber fuel line, 3/4″ silicone line so far have all cut like butter….

I had a 150 feet of plastic and rubber hose that had set outside for years without use and I was tired of looking at it. The weight of that much hose was too much for me to handle and I wanted to get rid of it. I didn’t want a pricey tool since it was a one time use and so I bought these. The Craftsman Hose Cutter worked like a charm. I had a little trouble with it sticking but it was because my glove got caught in it (not the blade but the handle when I squeezed it) and the safety clasp that holds the arms together to shelter the blade when not in use can become a nuisance (too loose) when in use but the blade never dulled and I cut all that hose into 6″ lengths. It was easy on my hands. This is not a tool you allow your young child to use. You always want to know where your fingers are before squeezing the arms of this tool.

Used it for cutting hoses when pulling engines. Sharp for now. Good value craftsman. Does what it’s supposed to. Light weight and small for quick cuts.

Hose cutter functions as it should. I use it to cut 1in. to 1.25in. diameter rubber grips for fitness equipment. It cuts clean and straight, just like OE. Very easy to use. My only gripe is the clasp used to keep the handles closed. It comes undone very easily when in my tool bag.
