Love this product. Easy to install, did it in 3 hours. Installed on a 93 Nissan hardbody with manual transmission. No hassles. Loved it so much I installed one on a friends 2000 Honda Civic, and again very easy install no hassles. For the price you cannot go wrong will be purchasing again

I installed this in my 94 Camaro with a manual transmission about 8 months ago and it has been working great.
Pros:
Fairly simple installation.
It works safely with manual transmissions.
Information sent back to the 2-way remote is very useful when starting your car if you don’t have direct line of sight.
The dome light output on my system was non functional when I received it. I sent it in and it was fixed at no cost.
Cons:
The range on the 2-way remote is fairly good, but I believe it falls short of the advertised 3,000 feet. I would rate it at about half that.
The 1-way remote has very limited range and is worthless for anything other than unlocking the doors from about 25 feet away.
You need to buy quite a few relays to use all the features. I needed two for the doors, one for the dome light, and one for the trunk release.
Manual transmission mode operation:
The manual transmission mode, when activated, requires you to have the vehicle running, step on the brake, set the parking brake, and then turn the ignition off. Once you turn the ignition off, the remote start system keeps the vehicle running until the drivers door is opened and closed (indicating driver exited). The system will turn the car off after two seconds. You will then be able to remote start the vehicle as long as the drivers door has not opened.
I gave it 4 stars because of the amount of extra relays needed for installation. Overall it is a great system for the price.

I bought this a while back and just got to installing it today. Here are some issues:
Would have worked great except that it came missing the 6 pin Harness for remote start that pretty much made it useless. I had to buy one off Ebay for an extra $10.
LCD Remote is not communicating with the Alarm. I have another LCD remote from another Crimestopper alarm and it is working with the alarm I just installed. The LCD remote that came with alarm does not work even on the other system.
With all said the quality control on this product is less than satisfactory.
The install manual also needs to be proof read and checked over since there are typos and wrong directions especially for the remote start wiring. There is no Pin 7 connector for manual transmission e-brake setup, only the 9 pin.

Bought the 402 and 502. Installed the two units in both my Acura Integra and Accord. Both are manual. Once installed, I was disappointed with the range. I could start the car from inside my house. However, it didn’t work at my office or the stores, such as Walmart or Target. Both 402 and 502 had the same problem. I bought an Ultrastart car starter a few years back and didn’t have any problem starting from inside stores. The antenna is placed above the rear view mirror. I would give it more stars if the range was further. I’ll have to move it to another spot in the spring and see if it makes any difference.

Truly universal alarm. Super nice to have remote start and alarm combined. Only has one hit sensor so it only detects hits accurately on the side of the car that you install it. Range on non-screen remote is limited but the remote with screen is definitely on the big side (would not recommend using any other keychain alongside it). Depending on the car there are a few extra parts needed but besides that it is a great addition/replacement for basic OEM alarms. Installation is definitely not something for non-technical users.

Crimestopper has many models to choose from and have lots on wire diagrams on the internet for support.
I find the remotes are solid and work very well. Both one way and two way remotes
The hook up of wires is not bad if you know electrical relays and battery voltage and reading a meter.
The more difficult part is getting past the key chips and finding a unit to bypass the key.
It’s not easy for the do it yourself unless you buy a plug n play unit.
Lessco electronics has a great hook up selection on eBay, as well as good videos on YouTube. I learned a lot there.

Worked great for a couple years with the exception of the two way key pad is junk. Had to warranty the pad in 3 months. Then replace my pad didn’t last then bought another key pad. Guess what. No point in being a 2way system. When 2way pad is functioning wonderful distance and response. The plain pad it came with has always functioned great but no distance or 2way

I have installed a few SP-502 alarms in vehicles and the instructions are good and to the point. This was the first time that I installed one with the Evo-All and there were some challenges to overcome, but the alarm and remote start now works great on this truck. However please keep in mind that this is not for the faint of heart. There are a lot of wires to install to make this work. If you are afraid of soldering and tearing your dash apart, have a shop install the alarm for you.
