Apparently the title of the product and its code didn’t match up, so they emailed me clarifying that I indeed wanted an A string. Super friendly people, plus my package arrived faster than the estimated date(s). String performance is good considering the price. Obviously not the highest grade of string, but it still has a good quality for its pricing, and for my purposes for it (casual playing). Great brand overall – I highly recommend it for someone looking for something that functions well against pricing.

Bought this to replace a mismatched D string for a different set. I’m pleased with the sound as it matches the other (much more expensive) strings in resonance

The title of this item misled me to believe that it was an amazing price on a set of strings. It says STRINGS, plural form. I was annoyed to receive a single D string. I can see now in the product image that it shows a single string, but come on. Other single strings are identified as such in the product title.

My favorite, after sampling 8 different types of violin strings over the years. This combines a very good sound and stability (doesn’t go out of tune quickly as gut strings do). When playing a lot, I’ll wear out the A and E once a year or so. I get most of my strings by mail from an Independent company, Southwest Strings of Tucson, Arizona. They just stick them in a plain envelope and mail them, which makes more sense than sending them in a big box like Amazon does.

We have used these strings for over two years have been through 3 D’s in the last two months – we had a similar episode early this year – they unwind mid string – the inner core remains intact but the string is useless – the manufacturer did send us replacements after some emails were exhchanged at the start of the year but now lost confidence and will switch to Dominant. It is a known issue with this string beware! Our violin is set up and serviced by a professional and maintained to a high standard.
