1万円未満でとてもおいしいドリップコーヒーが飲めるシロカのコーヒーメーカーに満足してましたが、在宅ワークが増えた最近、パンチのあるエスプレッソとカフェラテも家で手軽に呑みたくて追加で買ってみました。
ラテクレマ付きを選んだけど、ミルクをちょうど良い量タンクに入れるのも洗うのも少しめんどくさい。ホットのカプチーノやカフェラテを一杯だけ飲みたい、といった時にラテクレマをセットするのも少し大げさだし。
アイスのカフェラテであれば、エスプレッソに冷やした牛乳を入れるだけでできるので、マグニフィカSでも充分なんですね。ホットでも単体ミルクウォーマーの方が取り回しやすくてゴニョゴニョ。
と言いつつ、今日はスペシャルティ、今日はロングコーヒー、ふわふわ泡のカプチーノ(これはラテクレマが大活躍)、とあまりに手軽に様々な淹れ方を楽しめるディナミカはQOLの向上に大きく貢献してくれてます。とても満足。
ちなみにロングコーヒーといっても澄みわたるドリップコーヒーのようなモノは出てきません。あくまでエスプレッソを薄めたような何かなので予めのご理解を。
※裏技ですが、消耗品の軟水フィルターは付けなくても普通に淹れられます。うちはしっかり軟水だし、ブリタ通した水を使ってるのでそこにフィルターを重ねる効果も薄い。(それどころか、水を含んで中々乾かないフィルターの衛生面も懸念)
やたら除石灰必要だな〜ということもなく、今のところ問題なし。

コンビニコーヒーと同程度のコーヒーとカフェラテを家でいつでも飲めるというのにピンとくるならオススメです。もちろん豆を良いのに換えればそれ以上になることでしょう。とにかく美味いコーヒーを好きなだけ飲みたくてたまらない人は満足すると思います。
問題なのはコストは別に安くないことです。そりゃ喫茶店やコンビニに比べればという話です。ガブガブ飲めばそれだけ高価なコーヒー豆もガンガン減ります。ボタンをポンと押せば好きなだけガブガブ飲めてしまうがゆえに、思ったより早く豆一パックが無くなるんだなあという印象です。そして私はカフェラテ好きなのでこれにしましたが、喫茶店と同じ程度美味しいのが飲みたければ脂肪分4.0以上の牛乳になってしまい、すると豆と牛乳を含めた代金がなかなかバカになりません。また消耗品として2ヶ月に一回交換する水フィルターは1600円、内部洗浄用の除石灰材も1200円くらいします。主に軟水の日本ではこの交換と洗浄の頻度は少し落としてもいいかもしれませんが、説明書に書いていないことを独自の判断でやるのは自己責任ですので念のため…。
問題はもう一つ、やはり掃除が面倒なことです。といっても毎日タンクの水を切って捨てる、トレイのカスと水を捨てて洗剤をひとかけしてさっと手で流し洗いするくらいですが、コーヒーだけのために一日の終わりに数分の立ち仕事が増えるのは余程コーヒーが好きでなければきついでしょう。特にコップを置く台の内部の骨組みパーツは洗浄にひと手間かかる複雑な構造をしており、これなんのためにあるんだ？と毎回思います。ミルクタンクの掃除は特に面倒です。透明なケース部分はともかく、チューブやごちゃごちゃした4つの接続パーツはそれはもうめんどくさい形をしています。本当は毎度チューブブラシで洗うそうですが、私は強めの流水を内部に流し、外は手で擦った後、ボウルに水と殺菌効果のある洗剤を入れて一晩部品をつけておくだけにしています。毎日は洗わず、牛乳パック二本分消費するか3日4日期間が空いたら一回洗うようにしています。これでも面倒です。特にミルクと触れる透明チューブは2カ月も使うと内部に脂肪分がこびりつきますので、極細タイプのストローブラシをAmazonで一緒に買っておくことをお勧めします。
それもこれも家で旨いコーヒーとカフェラテがお手軽飲み放題とか最高！と思えるコーヒー好きであれば大丈夫です。そうでなければ片付けが面倒で使わない高価な置物になることでしょう。
