Great little machine. Outstanding variety of coffee included in the variety pack that comes with the machine. I ordered some extra coffee capsules as well. The Aerocinno is a must. I would definitely recommend this!!

Perfect machine. Easy, efficient, and brews delicious espresso. The frother is a must. Downside, you may never go back to basic drip coffee again.

Pretty straight forward & minimal for what you’d realistically need & use it for compared to the other machines available from Nespresso (I’ve tried, bought, tested & loved a few already).
The milk frothing little machine is also solid too. All that being said, I do miss the outer material they used for the previous models to their machines in general a few years ago (5~6 yrs ago) nothing major & could be a personal perspective but feels like slightly thinner plastic to me, so be weary if you move a lot.. as in keep the packaging & cushion it well 🙂
To summarize: Compact, light, quieter than other models too & gets you the cup of coffee you choose/need anytime at the click of a literal 1 button.
P.s. shipping was also fairly fast considering the circumstances.. so thank you very much, I did appreciate the heck out of it soon as I received it! 😊🙏🏼

The media could not be loaded.

For reference, my household-adjacent has both a Vertuo (purchased as a gift for my partner around the holidays) as well as the Essenza Mini (purchased as a gift for myself a few months later), and for the sake of clarity – I’ll highlight some key points between the two that could help inform a decision.

I picked up my Essenza Mini + Frother from Amazon Warehouse. It was advertised as “very good” condition with the corresponding pricing due to a cosmetic imperfection, but upon inspection, I really couldn’t find anything wrong with it. I see that as a definite win. Setup was fantastically easy, and I’d note that the instruction to “press three times” for the initial flush on the the Essenza Mini refers to pushing the button once letting the machine complete the cycle, and then follow the procedure two more times. [On the Vertuo, you can press the button in quick succession.] The total time between unpacking the machine to getting it set up was less than 5 minutes.

I’m fascinated by the technology behind the Vertuo, i.e., it has pre-programmed and also further customizable volume settings depending on the code of the pod being inserted. However, my go-to for just a plain cup of coffee has always been and will continue to be my Aeropress. A large part of that is being a creature of habit, and a smaller part of that is that I’ll occasionally roast my own beans. One of the key driving factors of purchasing the Essenza Mini is that it fills a very first-world gap of, “Sometimes I just want an espresso or an Americano, but I don’t really want to wait and/or the effort to heat up water and prepare grounds for the Aeropress means I should just make a full cup again anyway but then I’ll be up too late.”

Enter the beauty of two buttons on the Essenza Mini. One button dispenses a smaller volume of water. The other dispenses a larger (maybe twice?) the volume of waster. No codes on the pods to tell the machine what to do. Instead, you pick. So, if I want just a concentrated shot of espresso? Push the button that corresponds to the smaller volume. I want a little bit more volume? Push the button that corresponds to the larger volume. But here’s the kicker, and it’s going to sound painfully obvious: you can effectively make an Americano by pushing one button (take your pick) and allowing the cycle to finish, and then pushing the other button to just run hot water through the used pod and picking up some residual flavor/color/content. I found that pushing the larger volume button twice yields something that effectively tastes like watered down coffee, but to each their own on what they like.

The variety of pods that are compatible with this series of machine is overwhelmingly greater than those that are compatible with the Vertuo line. Maybe something to do with the technology of the coding, but I’m not an expert on that. There was one that came as part of the Nespresso welcome kit that made me feel like I was seeing time, but slowed down. It also kept me up till 2am since I had it at around 6pm, so there’s the trade-off.

I don’t think anyone truly “needs” a machine like this, but it’s very nice to have.

I’m totally addicted! I honestly was uncertain before buying it.. I read different reviews of many people being unhappy with the machine, quality of coffee and customer service.. I have to say that since day one has been a pleasure to use the machine and customer service was awesome too. Comes with a box of samples of which some are very good and totally taste the same as sipping an espresso in an Italian bar (and I can confirm since I was born and raised in Italy). The Aeroccino 3 is a wonderful addition, makes perfect foam every time (I use lactose free 2% and works perfectly). The only downside is the cleaning but it honestly takes two minutes to rinse it out and dry.

I was hooked less than a week after I’ve got this, my Keurig cannot even remotely compare. And the Aeroccino is easily the best milk frother I’ve used, works great with almond milk!

The reviews made me a little nervous but I got a perfect machine in what looked like new condition (I got the used one) but this really exceeded my expectations. Thank you!!

Bought this after my rivo took a dump. I loved my rivo. I did a lot of online research on espresso pod machines and this one came out within the top on numerous consumer research sites for the quality of taste and temperature consistency. Now this obviously cannot compare to real espresso makers where you stamp your own grounds, but this is still very good, and convenient. That’s the whole point of the pod makers, being convenient. I liked the small footprint. Mine did not come with a frother, so I purchased one separately. I believe there was an option to purchase an included one, but I went with the cheapest option.
I primarily use lavaza pods and they work well with this machine. I’ve tried other cheap pods and they do not. They leak a lot of water prior to dispensing the espresso, or sometimes jams up and doesn’t dispense anything.

There’s are two buttons on how big you want your shots. Single shot or a lungo. A cool thing about this machine is, you can program how long you want the single shot and lungo to run water, which is really nice.

This espresso maker is perfect for a single person as the water container is on the small side. If you are a couple, you would just have to refill the water more often, which is what I do. I keep a separate container of water, next to this machine, for refilling. The used pod bin keeps around 5/6 pods before needing to be emptied. We’re are a couple, so we do this often. Not a big deal.

Overall, I like this maker very much for is small footprint, convenience, and espresso taste (although that could be attributed to what pods you are using, I guess). Would definitely recommend for those in an apartment setting.

Addendum: Found capsules from another manufacturer for $.50 a capsule. Hope they taste as good as the Nepresso’s.

The coffee pot was obviously used. Moisture was in the water container and the instruction booklet was damp. As forewarned, the package contained no coffee capsules. But the pot worked fine which justifies my buying it used.

If money is no object, buy this coffee maker. I like the coffee made with it better than the coffee I make with my Keurig. However, it costs it costs more than twice as much per cup ($.80 per capsule) without providing twice the pleasure. Since I have already bought this Nepresso maker, I’ll keep buying capsules when I can find them on sale.
