Amazon sent me a return as a new item. The box had been opened, and there were no assembly instructions. The manufacturer’s customer service was EXCELLENT, though, and they emailed me the instructions. The cabinet is complex for a flat pack item, and the assembly took some time, but the instructions were straightforward and precise. It seems to be a good quality, and the finish looks like real wood. Very pleased.

I was really worried about putting this together when I saw how many parts were involved. I am a 63 yo female and was amazingly surprised at how clear the directions are. I only needed help to hold the back panels on drawers in place while adding the screws. The rest I was able to accomplish without help.
It seem pretty sturdy after it was fully assembled. If it’s moved a lot or used constantly, it could see it not holding up. I am pleased especially at the price it was. I may add a second lock in other corner of drawer, for as wide as the drawer is, I think a center lock may have been better.

Turned out gorgeous. Great piece very study and well made. However it did take my elderly father an extended period of time to put together. The directions were pictures no words, and granted some of the difficulty was his age, but the directions still sucked. Kinda like Ikea but with screws included. Overall worth it for the end result!

I ordered this a few weeks ago and finally had time to open and assemble it last night – the box was damaged when I received it but I had already decided I won’t be returning it regardless of the condition.
Out of the box, one of the drawer side panels had a crack in it but it’s not visible since it’s inside the drawer (plus I already have the matching 3-drawer file cabinet so it’s not worth returning it over). The paint is so thin on the particle board that you can see right through it up close – but not as noticeable from further away.
The directions were very strange…I disregarded the instructions for the drawer-assembly part since it was much easier to assemble the drawers separately* and then put them into the frame after the fact.
*Note: if you do it this way, make sure you pay attention to which drawer face matches which drawer catch (there are plastic catches on the left side of each drawer that keep it from tipping forward by preventing both drawers from being open at the same time).
Overall, as mentioned in my title…you get what you pay for. This is a decent little file cabinet for the price. Considering it’s just going to sit in my home office with minimal traffic, it should hold up just fine.

I purchased the product just over 6 months ago and the ball bearings started falling out. Now to open a draw is very difficult because now it doesn’t properly align. I sent a message to customer service a few ago and no response. I’m going to purchase another cabinet but not from this company. Very disappointed with the product.

When I opened the box there were a million screws and lots of wooden pieces so I was worried about putting it together. But the instructions were really detailed and clearly not written by someone in China with broken English. The images were especially detailed, which ensured I had the piece facing the right way so I never had to take it apart after a mistake. It took me 2 hours to put together.
My recommendation is to use a power screwdriver if you have one because mine worked great and saved a bunch of time and energy. Also, you have to skip ahead a page to see how to take apart the drawer slides before you attach those pieces from where they tell you to.
I only give it 4 stars because the bottom piece of the drawers is the weakest part of the drawer. Everything else is nice sturdy wood, yet the bottom, which hold all the weight is a flexible, thin, flimsy piece of wood.

Assembly was easy, just take your time and read thru before starting.
I had an issue withe one of the slides for one drawer breaking. I emailed the company, FYI response took a little bit of time due to the company being in a different time zone. They did respond and sent the new part.
I finished assembling and it looks great. Plenty of room for hanging files – letter size and legal size. Perfect for my needs.
