I really liked the net to stop the arrows and I’m ready to practice.

I use this backstopper to shoot archery in the backyard. The material of the backstopper is of good quality and it gave me confidence to use it. Installation was easy because it came with hooks so I can mount and attach the backstopper without problem.
I use both recurve and compound bows with target tips. The backstopper worked well to stop arrows coming from both my recurve and compound bows. This is a must have if you’re doing backyard archery but just make sure you don’t use broadhead tips.

The item arrived tightly packed in a corrugated cardboard box, with the pole sections separately wrapped in foam sheet. The attachment hardware were separately bagged in zipper bags. There were no instructions provided other than what came in the product description.
The fabric is very heavy, even though my piece was undersized compared to the product description; the fabric alone weighed 3708 grams and measured at 0.069-0.070 inches thick (the product description says 2 mm, which would be 0.079 inches). The fabric dimensions were also slightly smaller than described; it is supposed to be 60 inches square, mine came in at 58 x 59 inches. Brass grommets are installed along two opposite edges, 4 each side. 24 feet of braided nylon cord (more than the 20 feet described) were provided for attachment.
A four-section stainless steel pole screws together to create a 1314 gram damping mass that is (apparently, though some of the images show it at the upper edge) added to the lower edge of the target.
My assembly followed my best interpretation of the confusing written description and the first assembly photo, which has the braided nylon line threaded through the upper grommets, and attached at each end to a provided stainless steel carabiner, which can be attached to a structure. At the lower end, the stainless rod mass threads through four hooks that attach to the lower grommets.
My criticism is that there is nothing in the system as provided to keep the target spread to its full width. On the bottom, the pole simply slides back and forth – the two holes in each end of the pole are not utilized. On the top, unless you knot the rope to the two corners, the top will be able to slide around and bunch up, and then the middle is left relatively unsupported. You will have to devise that spreading mechanism yourself. I happen to have a thin flexible fiberglass pole (think collapsible tent pole) that I attached to the grommets at the top, and then attached a piece of rope to each of the end grommets to a support on either side. At the bottom, I ran another short piece of rope through the holes on each end of the stainless pole, and tied it to the last pole hanger on each end. That did the trick for me.
As far as a target backstop, this becomes an easy and reliable backstop for pellet guns, BB guns, and slingshots. I can see this also stopping arrows, but I don’t use shoot arrows so I can’t vouch for the cut resistance of the fabric to various arrow tips – but certainly blunt-tipped arrows should be stopped (and for target practice you don’t need to use sharp points).
For the missing / confusing instructions, undersized fabric, and seemingly missing support pole at the top, I have to take away a star; but otherwise this is a hugely valuable and useful target backstop.

This item is HEAVY, despite the 12.1 lb advertised weight. consequently, my original plan of hanging it between two 5-foot-tall metal planter (shepards’) hooks caused them to bow inward. First plan didn’t work. So, I used the metal rod to keep the planters’ legs from bending inward (using the C hooks to keep the rod ends in place) and hung the sheet off the rod and its hooks. This sheet has stopped a number of misses with a 30 lb. long bow, with no arrow penetration although I have noted at least one hit breaking threads on the backside of the sheet WITHOUT creating a hole. Folks have complained about the metal hooks on the rod; it should be noted they are screwed into the rings so by loosing them you can SLIDE the rings onto the rod during assembly and slide them on the rod as you need. If they made a longer sheet, I’d buy it.

I got this as a precaution so I wouldn’t hit my shed. My cousin tried his hand at one of my beginner bows and immediately missed the target completely. The very pointy bullet tip made a small dent and that was it.
