These strings arrived quick and I immediately I setup on my bass. Very nice finger feel and they really look great. Time will tell how long the coating lasts, but it seems to hold up fine. They sound bright and are good on my fingers as I haven’t played bass in years and am getting back into playing (you will hear me on the radio soon).

I have some green neon strings on one of my basses, and now I have these on my second bass.
I really like the feel of the coated strings – I find them to be easier on my fingers than non-coated strings.
I think the strings sound great. I was expecting them to look really cool, but I don’t think many people would notice the strings are not the usual colour. That’s ok though.
I haven’t tried a lot of different strings, so I don’t have a lot to compare to, but I like these much more than the strings that were on my bass when I bought it!

I have only played these strings for 10 hrs and they are already losing their coating. Really disappointed ! We are far from the selling point they launch “The Hi-Performance Coating” .. yeah right! 🙁

I like these strings alot because they were very nice and they sound great! It makes your bass look really cool too, i would definately reccomend it for anyone who might just consider them. And about the life of the coating, it last quite a long time i’ve been having them for atleast 4 months and they still look great….the only thing is that they get dirty sometimes with dirt and you can see it on the string but that is no problem just give them a little clean from time to time and you’ll be good! Again they sound awsome and look amazing on a bass especially if your bass is black!

This is my second set of DR strings and I have to say I am impressed! I have 36 years of buying all sorts of bass string brands and these might just be my favourite strings ever. They look great, feel great, play great and sound great! $50 for a set of 5 string isn’t unreasonable though I have bought cheaper strings that do the job but I just played a 3 hour set with the band and didn’t have to worry about sweaty or sore fingers so I’d say the coating works. I’ve read reviews about the coating being inconsistent but I’ve yet to have that issue. I will let you know if it happens as this will not be my last set. I’m sold on DR strings! I might actually consider setting up a subscription with the seller on Amazon for regular supply.
