David Clinton Adkins –
I popped my high C string while putting it on. It still looks good with 5 out of 6 strings on there. It sounds amazing especially having these nylon wound strings. A different tone that I think I needed for how I play and what I want to sound like.

Awesome sounding strings , long lasting sound considering I thought they might be a bit gimmicky but was very wrong . The green ones pop the best on stage . But a bit of advice. Don’t go for the cheap ones , they deadden off quite quickly.

Saw them and had to try for the added showmanship. Great sound and looks! Bright sound with good bottom end even though it’s a lighter guage than I usually play. Great tonal characteristics. Planning on making them my regular strings. Only negative is they are a little bit harsher on the fingers than usual, but I can get used to that.

the G string sound like crap, sounds with less volume/resonance than the others. the another 5 strings sound great. i’m using a yamaha trb6i . I’m thinking to buy another set and change the G string but it’s crazy.

The coating is good for aggressive players I don’t cut my fingers as much slapping.

I will never buy them again; I guess I should have looked for a good review.. Two strings broke while tuning them up.. The outer wire wrapping on the strings didn’t quite continue the length of the string, never again will i buy any DR strings…
Alex Levin –
Should have grabbed the 5 string pack, used the 1st string for a craft. Went on easy, held tune very well. Very bright sound. Will definitely be getting these again and in different colours. Good buy highly recommend, anyone who had issues probably got a lemon, they are handmade after all.

Pouco tempo de uso e as cordas descascam.

I’ll start off by saying that the color is fantastic. The second thing I’ll say is that, for about one week, the strings sounded really good. They really did have less unwanted overtones, as advertised. One string, unfortunately, was dead on arrival. Terrible tone. But DR STrings sent me a replacement right away. Then, about a week later, I noticed that the strings had lost ALL their tone. They had begun to sound dull, not bright like fresh strings. Except normally, fresh strings stay bright for a month or more, depending on how you treat them. I normally clean my strings in denatured alcohol, so I have two sets of regular strings I go between. Since I had nothing to lose, I decided to try cleaning these neon strings in alcohol, after other cleaning methods didn’t work. I had low hopes for the process, and my expectations were fulfilled. The alcohol destroyed the color, as expected. So here’s my verdict.
If you want to drop $45 or so on a set of fabulously bright neon strings (they really do look fantastic), and you only need them for a week of gigging, then maybe these are a good option. If you play with heavy effects, maybe you don’t need the strings to maintain their punchy bright tone. But for most people, these strings actually suck pretty bad.
