I was honestly really impressed by this stand. It’s very heavy (that’s a good thing, it means it’s sturdy as heck) and the way it’s designed, it’s absolutely not going anywhere. I am not at all worried about this thing toppling over in the middle of a gig. Works best with a drum rug, I would not recommend using this thing on a hardwood floor as it will likely damage it. Seems to fold up really easily for transport, but comes with the option to screw the foot pedal down into a more permanent position if you don’t plan to gig, which I thought was pretty neat.
Honestly my only complaint is the instructions were a little unclear. If this is your first hi-hat stand you might struggle getting it set up. It also comes with the foot tension set super loose by default. It took me forever to figure out why my hats were sagging as soon as I clamped them in when my cheap stand held them up just fine haha. Adjusted the tension to be really tight and now it works like a dream. My hat flips on this thing are smooth as butter.
Bottom line, if you plan to get a DW5000 double pedal, this absolutely must go with it. Heck, even if you’re a single pedal user, this is a good stand on it’s own.

This s the best hit hat stand I purchased in year. It meet all the expectations for its mobility and durability.I have used DW for years now and in my opinion hy are built to last for ever. this stand was the perfect match for my DW5000 double bass pedal and gives me ample room to place second pedal and not have to worry about the hi-hat stand.

This is a fantastic hi-hat stand. It is heavy-duty and works great, like most middle to high-end DW hardware. Because it only has two legs, it is easy to use with a double-kick pedal. If you only want to have to buy one stand, and you want it to be very well built and last for a long time, this one is highly recommended.

I own this stand, and I purchased it through Amazon.
I’ve been playing electronic drums for over a year, and just got an acoustic kit, so I needed several pieces of hardware. I tried several hi hat stands and liked the feel of the DW better than the others.
This one is called heavy duty for a reason…it feels as solid as rock, and I have no concerns about mounting my new Zildjian A Customs on it. The 2 leg base combined with a ‘flip up’ style pedal give it a firm foundation that locks into place, and can be further secured by two screws for more permanent installations.
The action of the pedal and rods is smooth as silk and gives me just the right amount of counterweight feel when playing. I love the feel of this hi hat! As a bonus, my DW 3000 hi hat double pedal (slave) nestles perfectly into the side of this pedal, saving a little space on the floor.

The two leg feature is a no-brainer to me. I don’t know why I would ever go back to a 3 leg stand after using this.
It’s a bit heavy, but in a good way. This thing is durable.
So many great features on this item, but the sturdiness and quality really shine through as the top features, in my opinion.

The seller has been rated as 2/5 as the product turned up with a slight warped foot plate and signs of mild wear and tear. Possible ex demo with very little play? However, fixed the item and it is excellent. I owned this model 15 years ago and forgot how smooth and solid it is. Only minor issue is setting up and down is not as easy as other hi hat models so be prepared to allow extra time or extra room as the foot pedal will only be raised once you unscrew the attachments.
