EltaMD UV Daily SPF 40 Tinted Face Sunscreen Moisturizer

Y’all, this is the only face sunscreen that doesn’t have me breaking out. My dermatologist recommended it a couple of years ago and I’ve never looked back. I’ve used this one and the UV Clear. Both are great! Do your face a favor!

I was pleasantly surprised by this tinted moisturizer. It has become my every day lotion this summer. Don’t even need full concealer etc.
Glides on nicely, not sticky. Light weight. Evens out complexion with a slight tint that blends in well.
I’m super pale skinned and had concerns it would be too dark. But once rubbed in it blends really well.

The color does separate a little but a simple swirl mix with fingertips in your palm cures this. Have not noticed a color issue once applied.

Sun protection was surprisingly good as well. Forgot sunscreen one day at the lake and my entire body fried while my face just got a slight pink. I forgot I had applied this moisturizer and was afraid my face would be a painful peeling mess. But this did not happen!

Definitely going to keep this product regularly stocked at my place.

Ugh you guys, get it, it’s worth it. When I tell you I’ve been looking for an SPF for years, I mean YEARS. It’s been nuts, I have a whole graveyard drawer of SPFs for my face that all didn’t work with my skin just so I can remember which ones I have already tried. They either made me break out literally anytime it touched my skin, or would make me too oily, or have a wicked white cast, or all of the above. I saw this one was recommended but the high price made me say no thank you, but then I saw it was HSA accepted and jumped on it, and yessss girrrrlll. I’ve used it everyday, both under my make up and by itself and without a single problem. My current pimples are finally clearing up too and it’s amazing! The only negative is the color is not a match for me, but luckily it’s sheer enough where I’ll get through the bottle and buy the clear stuff next time. Works well under make up too! Yes yes yes, I don’t care it’s expensive, the search is finally over for me.

Update: I am now over 1 month, I wear it 5-7 days a week (whenever I leave my house) and I am still sticking with my original review because I love love love it. I’ve had a few deep cystic pimples, which is new to me, but I do not believe this is the cause. Now that it is summer this tint shade is matching more with my tan summer color, so that’s good! But definitely getting the non-tinted for winter!!

It seems to work very well, not greasy. I have very sensitive skin and this was recommended to me by my granddaughter. She is quite right, this cream works.

I use this daily. It is great protection and does not cake on or melt off like some high protection face sunscreens.

I have always been a fan of the brand. I use several of their products. Not my first round with one of their tinted sunscreens, but it is my first purchase with this specific one. It is of normal consistency and texture. Like a light lotion instead of super thick like a lot of cheaper brands have. I wanted to love it so much, since I love all of their other products I’ve tried. However, after being called an oompa loompa by my 16 year old for the 4th time. I went and washed my face off. I’ve never had an issue with their other tinted products looking orange, but this most definitely left the fake tan look. I had to take 1 star off for being orange, even though the purpose of the product seemed legit.
