Not sure how it’s gonna hold up- I used a spray adhesive to mount uart paper on, and the adhesive seemed to eat into the foam- my mistake- but the foam doesn’t seem as rigid as it should be- but i have yet to compare to something like gator board which i think is a much smaller celled foam- I do however have several pastel paintings mounted to this foam and it is workign well- but you have to be really careful as it dents easily, and won’t look good is you should happen to sell your work- however, you can perhaps paste a heavy paper on the back of the board to prevent it from denting- This foam is a little hard to cut as the cells inside are larger, and tend to not cut the cleanest- it leaves a bit of a ragged edge- but these will all be behind a frame and not noticed- over all=- i woudl recommend this if you are mostly practicing pastel painting, and want something not so expensive to mount them to
