The Etekcity PB monitor was my first bluetooth PB monitor. It arrived right on time, well packaged and complete. Setup was much easier than I expected. The app loaded quickly and smoothly and the bluetooth connection was made quickly on the first try. From there out it was just a pleasure using this well built device and having the readings stored for reference or for showing your treatment staff. The screen is large and easy to view, the inflatable cuff is large and appears to be made of rugged material. A storage case or bag would have been a nice plus but I was able to find a vinyl bag to store it in.

Being able to view past readings in a logical and user friendly fashion has been a big plus. It gives you a much better view of your overall BP history and how you are doing. I would recommend this to anyone who would like an accurate sturdy monitor and app to track their BP readings.

I have not received anything for this review and I was not contacted by this company to leave a review. I am a retired health care worker who needed a bp machine that will effortlessly transfer the test results to my cellphone. Accuracy and an easy cuff for one person to put on were my other two requirements. A different, very popular brand I will not name here, failed miserably at the Bluetooth connection almost every time, and then the air hose got a leak giving me the perfect excuse to replace it.

This machine is giving me the same results as my last machine, but I have not taken this one to my MD office yet to compare results. The machine is very easy to use. I like that the base is upright and not flat on a table making it very easy to read and operate. The cuff is simple, and even though I have a spouse, I want to be able to do the BP without assistance. It was very easy.

But the best part is the Bluetooth connection. Like all similar devices, you have to download a free app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. I will be talking about the Android App but I would assume the Apple App is just as good or better. The app seems busy at first because the company has lots of home devices (Think Google Home) and the BP machine is just one of those devices. The app let me go into the settings and close the “cards” that did not apply to me, and then the app looked clean. So once installed and paired to your cellphone Bluetooth, you can open the app up before you take your bp, and if you have the cuff on, you can actually hit a button on the app to start the blood pressure. But whether you start the bp with the app or push the button on the device, the results are instantly on the app. No pairing each time. No lost BP readings. It’s just there, and you can see all of your readings, send them to your provider, and keep track of the results for yourself. I highly recommend this device if you want to send the bp test results to your cellphone for any reason.
