FAHREN H13/9008 Ultra-Bright 26000LM Bulb

Had used Fahren LED lights before to great satisfaction; direct fit replacement, plug and play, quiet fan, and solid even lighting. The lights are bright and light up the road really well with OEM cutoffs; with the light switch off the 9005 high beams act as daylight running lights, another click and H11 headlights come on, and push or pull the switch and the 9005 highbeams light up the sky like a torch. Took pictures from each light state inside the car and outside. DRL mode shadows are rather sharp and fragmented, but headlight bulbs provide wide usable lighting to improve visibility and safety, and high beams should be used sparingly as they light up a lot.

That’s the good part about this set, the next section is really about how Honda engineering and packaging has made replacing a plug and play set MUCH harder than it should be. The headlights are easily reachable and literally take no time, reach in to unclip, turn counter clockwise and pull the old bulb out. Insert new bulbs, turn clockwise and clip back in. Done!

Replacing the highbeams is an exercise in dismantling, determination, and dexterity specific to this model. Fahren provides a nice pair of gloves to tackle next steps. Driver’s side can be reached but just no way I was able to unclip and turn. Resorted to taking out the battery so I had nice usable space; unclip the two push pins with a small flathead screwdriver to unlock the intake tube, pull it out and set aside. Next take a 10mm wrench to undo the battery tie down and terminal clamps, pull out the battery and now we have space to work. Still an awkward position but finally doable.

The Passenger side is even tighter space! Had to pull out both brake and coolant reservoirs to make space to reach the bulb. Brake reservoir just pulls straight up, while the coolant reservoir is held in by a push pin , then lift up as there’s a small bracket down lower. Both tanks will kind of dangle in place but there should be enough wiggle room now to reach the bulb. Incredibly awkward reach but finally managed to unclip and twist the bulb out.

The high beam bulbs were plug and play once you finally reach them. Putting the car back together is easier than reaching the bulbs. Because I pulled the battery out, the radio locks out but holding radio power button down for a few seconds gets past this.

In sum, great plug and play replacements but getting to the high beams in this car is only for the determined. Pray I don’t have to replace high beams for years to come.

I was needing to upgrade my sons headlights in his 2019 Kia Soul+, as they seemed to be very dim, almost dangerous, as you could hardly see at night, and the Fahren Upgraded H13/9008 bulbs have completely changed his nighttime driving experience. The 26000LM, 6500K brightness is simply astonishing.

Enhanced Safety: Being a new driver, having a clearer view of the road, I feel much safer with him driving at night, especially on dimly lit roads or in adverse weather conditions.
Easy Installation: The plug-and-play design took us about 10 minutes to install, so the process quick and hassle-free. The only issue with this was the manufacturers design for the bulb cover, as was was almost against the fuse block, so that took some tinkering to get the cover back on the drivers side bulb.
If you’re looking to significantly improve your nighttime driving visibility, I highly recommend giving these Fahren bulbs a try. They’re a game-changer!

very bright and easy installation

These bulbs installed easily. This design helps to position the bulb at the 4 o’clock for installation, and then allows easy rotation to the plug-down position. These bulbs provided a nice light pattern that cuts off correctly about 3 feet above ground level, so as to not blind the oncoming driver. My 2013 Ford Escape did need a CANBUS adapter. They wouldn’t light up when connected directly to the original power cord plug. They even included white gloves to keep finger prints off of the LED’s. The shape of these bulbs is just like the original incandescent, so it is easy to get them in correctly. A previous set of a different brand had a round back and it was difficult to tell what the correct orientation was. These are great, high-quality bulbs!

Had no issues as a drop in bulb replacement for a 2012 VW Tiguan. No error codes were seen. The lights are quite blue, but definitely are brighter than a halogen. I don’t know about “600%” brighter, maybe it’s closer to 150% but they are brighter and sharper for sure (due to the hue).
