I got one of these to run on my son’s Trailmaster mini XRX go kart with Honda clone 5.5hp motor. It worked great. Fired right up on first pull. I had to adjust the idle and main jet to get it fine tuned, but it runs great. I ordered a second for my daughter’s kart and had the same results. I had to give up the remote choke that came on the factory installed carb, but that’s ok.
Running ethanol free fuel now. Very very happy.

Put 2 of these carbs on pump engines on spray trailers. These are old engines with tons of hours….they get used sparingly but they are usually full of water on standby in the summers to haul water to grass fires for the fire crews…..so it is kind of important they start when they are needed. The carbs that were on these engines sit outside year round and finally got corroded enough that I had trouble keeping them running. I can always pop it apart and clean it, and get it running again, but it was time to replace them. We were looking at just putting new pumps and motors on, and I saw these carbs on Amazon and though heck…that is cheap enough lets try and see what they are like.
The fit and finish isn’t perfect….I had to file down just a couple edges, but I gotta say I put them on and it makes those old engines start and run like new. I actually think I am getting more power than with the sock honda carbs. Not sure if they were just dirty enough I wasn’t getting a good mix, or if these are jetted different. Doesn’t matter though, have 2 engines that were hard starting that now start in 2 pulls every time right now so I am a happy camper. We have about 8 of these honda engines. We are happy enough we ordered 2 more carbs just to have in the parts room. For the price, instead of spending an hour tearing things down and cleaning them, we can just slap a new one on in 5 minutes and get to running and clean the old one later. Even if they corrode easier than the stock ones, which I don’t know that they do, chuck them and put a new one on when you start having problems.
Including the fuel line is a nice touch too.

fast prime service…after installing the carb the engine started up immediately and ran fine…can’t believe the low purchase price…went to purchase a tiny needle valve for old carb.. price for just the valve was more than I paid for new carb..

Came with everything needed to install. Installation was pretty easy but draining fuel tank is recommended to avoid a mess when swapping out fuel line. Engine started right up with new carb in place and ran smoothly. Can’t beat the deal – not worth the time to clean old carb at this price!
