Relatively easy to install! Did it in my driveway in 3 hours. Sounds great. Mellow in the cab and aggressive on the outside when you stomp it. Would definitely pair with K&N air intake systems. I was pushing 24mpg at 75-80mph on windy Texas Roads. Deffinately have a programmer to turn off the v4 mode. Kills out the drone in v4 mode. But they also make cheap ones to plug into the OBD port for much less to turn off the v4. Sounds great. Not very aggressive if that’s that’s your looking for but I opted for the 3” pipe version. Wicked with a cold start. All in all worth that you pay by far!

I had this kit installed in a few hours in my garage on jack stands was very easy. Quality of the clamps could be better the tailpipe clamps did not want to tighten up as much as they needed to be. Thinking of getting system welded together at some point. You will definitely want to paint the included exhaust hanger & hardware it rusts very fast. Pipes are developing some surface rust after a month of being installed so it definitely isn’t stainless. Sounds great @ startup & overall. Wish it was a tad louder but I plan to remove my 3rd cat for a bit louder of a sound. Would recommend! Will update if anything fails or breaks.

UPDATE: I’ve had this exhaust for about 4 years now living in new england. The flex pipe had to be replaced today because it rotted out. So much for stainless steel. The hangars are rusted but still seem to be holding on. Forget the rest of the fittings those are all rusted as well and will need to be broken off for this price id expect it to last more than 4 years.
I bought this for my 2014 gmc sierra 1500 crew cab with the 5.3l engine. The install was not too bad though I used a lift. The clamps take alot to get them tight, I recommend welding them together. You also need to look up instructions on the flowmaster website. This sounds amazing it is loud and you can hear it in the cab. it is not too loud but it will turn heads. However there is one major flaw! The stock exhaust has a valve in it to create more back pressure in 4cylinder mode. With 8 cylinders its sounds great! With 4 cyl on the highway it groans and sometimes it pops around town. I still like it but it could be better. I also paid 650ish for mine and I see its now up for almost 800 and for that I would buy something else.

Installation was a breeze. The clamps fit just fine if you tighten them down enough. I used an impact wrench to finish them off. I had no issues with any breaking either. It took me and my father inlaw about 1.5 hours to remove the old exhaust and install the new, but he owns his own lift so it made it way easier. It sounds awesome. A little loud in the cab but mellows out at a cruising speed. Its a little rough when it switches into v4 but its not terrible.

I know it’s not cheap, but if you want excellent AGGRESSIVE sound, you’ll love this Flowmaster Outlaw system. As you can see in the picture, I opted for the polished tips instead of the black. More my style. Very easy installation with a lift. Took exactly 2 hours and I did 90% of the work myself, with a little help from my shorter friends…. haha! I’m 6’4″ with long arms and both of my buddies are 5’9″ with short arms…. Anyway, the hardest part is Aligning everything before tightening it down. I really helps to have a lift and an exhaust hanger removal tool, also available on Amazon for $20. Well worth the money. Make sure all clamps are very tight and all pipe slots are covered by the clamps. No leaks, Sounds like a beast. Pretty significant drone at highway speeds especially in V4 mode. But I like it loud so that doesn’t bother me at all. Highly recommended if you like aggressive sound and you have a little patience for lining everything up. 5 stars.

If you want a loud exhaust setup, without unbearable drone, this is it. Definitely not the “Family Man’s” muffler. The truck doesn’t drone at 75-80 mph to where it drowns out the radio at conversation level volume, but you know it’s there. At WOT it’s down right mean sounding!! No popping or backfiring while revving it in park. The cold start is AWESOME, as well as the idle note. It is pretty loud at 5:00 a.m. when I start the truck, but I don’t live in a neighborhood with close neighbors, so no issues here. But, I’d imagine “some” neighbors would have a problem. I’ve run a Magnaflow before and a Flowmaster 40. The Magnaflow was nowhere near as loud as I wanted. The Flowmaster 40 was better but not quite loud enough, so I ended up doing a exhaust cutout along with it. Then it was a bit too loud at times, but I was happy with it. This Outlaw setup is perfect. Its extremely loud when you wanna hear it and barely noticeable when you don’t or are just cruising.
Installation was really easy, as me and my 14 yr old son did it in about an hour or so. Just start at the Cat and work your way back, pipe section after pipe section. Hardest part was removing the stock exhaust from the truck to begin with. Definitely get a pair of Exhaust Hanger Removal Pliers and some penetrating lube spray if you don’t already have some for the hangers and the clamp at the Cat. I used PB Blaster, but WD-40 would work too. Also I would recommend buying a new 3″ clamp, instead of using the one from the old setup that connects the flex pipe to the Cat like the instructions say. Mine was pretty well rusted, but came loose with lube and an impact gun. I think they should have supplied a new one for how much the system costs. I used this one: Walker V Band Clamp 36522, which is the exact one on the stock setup.

All in all, I’m very happy with the exhaust. I feel that the extra $200 I paid for this system in Stainless Steel that’s designed and tested, is far superior to having a muffler shop do it with regular tin pipes that’s not computer designed for optimum flow. Would definitely buy the Outlaw series system again.

the flowmaster outlaw kit came in on time. only thing was the box was damaged it had a big rip on the side of the box and taped poorly. all the parts was still there thank God! I Have a 2017 chevy silverado crew cab 5.8 standard box and Amazon said it would fit only problem was it didn’t fit. the first pipe connection was not bent right to clear the frame where the drive shaft cross member is. so I had to use the front pard ofmy stock pipe and cut it the same length that I need to join it to the Super 10 muffler, you will need to use the short extention that comes with the kit. after all the modification that was done everything else after the muffler bolted up fine. But one I started up the truck I was very impressed with how great it sounds. now my truck sounds how it looks!
