Fox es referencia en estos equipos de protección y por eso quería probar a ver si acertaba con la talla.
Hay algunos PEROs:
– La trabilla para pasar la cincha frontal, es una pesadilla. Diría que es LO PEOR con diferencia del peto.
– La protección es Nivel 1 en hombros y codos únicamente aunque el D3O da confianza
– Solo hay Nivel 2 en la espalda y es algo corta para mi gusto
– El pecho, queda quizás algo corto para proteger la zona baja de las costillas
– El precio, es elevado. He comprado otra que tengo en uso, que tiene Nivel 2 en TODOS las zonas por la mitad y es de una marca también muy conocida aunque es más “visible” cuando te pones el jersey.
Lo que ME ENCANTA es que:
– La talla L, me queda como un guante. Mido 1,84, tengo 103cm de pecho y peso 84 kilos.
– Las protecciones, permiten libres movimientos en la MTB.
– Las puedes quitar y lavar la camiseta sin problema
– Casi no se nota cuando te pones el jersey. Ya no me puedo poner maillots, solo jerseys/camisetas.
Me he caído y roto tres ligamentos y se me ha salido la clavícula.
Si hubiera llevado esto, ¿se hubiera protegido esa zona? nunca lo sabremos, PERO lo que si tengo claro, es que NUNCA más iré en bici sin protecciones. Aunque vaya a comprar el pan…
Estas protecciones, son una obligación, pero no te lo planteas hasta que no te pasa algo.

Der Oberkörperprotektor lässt sich sehr leicht anziehen, ist qualitativ hochwertig und sehr angenehm zu tragen. Die D3O Einlagen sind sehr anschmiegsam aber bei Aufprall merkt man keinen Nachteil gegenüber traditionellen Protektoren.

Dieser Protektor ist sehr hochwertig, gut verarbeitet. Er schwindet sich sehr gut im Körper an und trägt sich ohne zu belasten. Zudem dreht er nicht zu dick auf und dann kann ihn unter den Klamotten sehr gut tragen.
Ich bin eins 1,80 m und wiege 75kg Bei mir war die Größe M zu klein, somit empfehle ich die Größe L bei der Größe. L entspricht 48-52 cm.

Fit and Comfort:
I am 5ft 9 in 160lb and the medium fits me well. The part of the zipper that comes up to the neck had a hard piece of misshapen plastic sticking out that really scratched into my collar bone and made it unbearably uncomfortable (see image). I cut it down and sewed over it and does not bother me now, but somewhat upsetting to pay nearly $300 and have a low quality control zipper. It is well ventilated for the amount of protection, but still something I do not and would not want to wear for every ride, especially with long climbs. Perfect for shuttle rides, bike park, or short climbs.
Protection:
I crashed pretty bad, going maybe 15-20 mph after I did not make the ride around for a jump (I was being dumb on a trail I did not know well). Landed on my left arm very hard. Wrist sprained pretty bad, shoulder had an imprint of the D30, and I had a small fracture at the radial head of my elbow. I am sure it would have been worse without this protection, and it is not really possible to compare as I have no idea what would have happened without it. Still the fracture is disappointing and my first clear broken bone despite a couple of similar severity crashes, so it is hard to say how much it did to protect me other than I am sure it would have been worse without it.

It’s really really comfortable. It’s almost perfect except that damn strap by the zipper on the left side. The hole so damn small it’s a pain in azz to remove n put on everytime then after put on u need to reach all the way pass the left arm to stick it on the position u want then if u misaligned u need to reach all the way over to release n retape.. it’s made for flexible people’s I guess..

I ride with it for the extra safety but I feel like a regula chest protector would do the same and wouldn’t get as hot as this one + it’s not so convenient to remove it after every time you ride and want to rest a little.
