My dog has 4 beds, and chooses this bed every time. He loves this bed. It is plush with volume. It has a foam egg crate inside making it even more comfortable. It makes me happy when I see him love something I have purchased to make his life better and this definately does that.

UPDATE – I contacted Furhaven, and they sent me a new “L-shaped” insert that is much better quality.
I purchased this same dog bed two years ago. The quality of my most recently purchased of the exact same dog bed is extremely lower quality than my previous purchase. The “L-shaped” pillow insert is much flatter and makes a crinkly sound when my dog moves against it. It’s obvious that the insert has much less filling in it. I would have never purchased this bed a second time if I would have known the quality had decreased immensely!

We have two Pekingese mixes, one that weighs 13lbs and one that weighs 17lbs. We got the small version of this bed for the 13lb pup who likes to sleep on the floor, but it proved to be so popular, we had to get a second, larger one so they could share it; only one of them can fit into the small bed at one time, so the one who didn’t fit would just lay on the floor, staring sadly at the other one on the bed, waiting for the moment they got up so they could steal the bed back for themself. The large sized version of this same bed, they now happily occupy together and there’s plenty of room to spare, so no one has to lay on the floor.
I would say, the small version is a little too small for our 17lb pup, but so comfy, he didn’t seem to care. But, the small size is probably better suited to a dog that is under 15lbs. I think the description says 20lbs, but it may be a bit too small if your pup is over 15lbs. It is the perfect size for our smaller pup, though and we relocated the small bed to another spot, just for her 💕

My dog loves this bed. I got it for his crate and now I find him in his crate because he loves this bed so much. It washes well and is easy to clean.

I ordered this for my 11 year-old chihuahua mix, Spike, because he had a pretty thin bed in his crate and I would sometimes hear him shifting around in the night so I was worried he didn’t have enough support for his joints and might not be comfortable. When I got it out of the box, I was pretty impressed – the orthopaedic foam feels really thick and supportive. I put it in Spike’s crate and he hopped right in and curled up. He slept on it through the night and I heard no movement at all so I think he’s a lot more comfortable. Success!
I haven’t washed it yet but it seems simple enough to unzip the cover and throw it in the machine. I will update my review if I have any issues with cleaning it or durability over time but first impressions are very positive. What really solidified things for me was this morning when I noticed my younger dog, Ricky, wasn’t in any of his usual napping spots. I eventually found him curled up in Spike’s crate on the new bed. He stayed there peacefully for hours, and he’s a very hyper dog. I guess I’ve got to buy a second one now so they can each have their own!

3 stars overall, NOT chewproof, but they offer a 1 time replacement. It’s nice and the price is good. Bought this thinking a couple of three month old yorkies would love it and it might survive. They defluff traditional stuffed beds and I was hopeful this would work. It didn’t make it through the first night. They ate a hole into the bottom/side by the bolster pillow and shredded the foam padding. The silver you see, is from me patching the hole, which they also shredded numerous times after. Really a zero star for chewproof. They chewed both zippers, which no longer work. I had to sew them closed. I gave 3 stars for washing because it should be easy, but now that my cover is sewn on, I’ll have to cut it off to clean it or wash it with padding and all. It’s average overall, NOT FOR CHEWERS.

I place pee pads on the inside before placing the cover on it , to prevent accidents from happening on the pillow inside
