Furhaven Tall Cat Tree With Condos & Toys

Love the height and the fact that it’s so easy to assemble. Since it’s not secured to the ceiling it does shake when my cat climbs on it but it’s sturdy and isn’t in danger of tipping over. The carpet is very soft to the touch and doesn’t feel too thin. It does require a bit of vacuuming though as there are glue gun strings all over the carpet.

I thought my cat would be more hesitant with the smaller cube because of the hard wooden lip but it has become her favourite place to sleep and is clearly unbothered by it. I also love that it comes with an enrichment box: it provides a great place to put my cat’s favourite fuzzy balls and have her try to fish them out.

I would recommend this to anyone!

I bought this cat tree for my growing kitten, as he loves to climb on things I’d rather he didn’t. I liked the design layout, the height, and the built in toys and “busybox”.
However, from the moment I began taking it out of the box, I was impressed by the solid quality of the thing. Your cat is unlikely to ever tip this over, it’s that well balanced. And my little bruiser loves it! Especially the busybox, it’s so cute just watching him at it! What a great, thoughtful addition that was.
I’m very pleased with this purchase, and so is my furbaby. And his happiness is mine 🙂

Mi gata aunque no es muy pesada, es muy larga, los postes para rasguñar le quedan chicos, y este la tiene loca.
El material es bueno, aunque las tablas y cajas son de aglomerado, los postes son de plástico, por lo que son resistentes; el armado fue sumamente fácil, me tomo como 40 minutos armarla y de verdad que fue muy simple, las piezas vienen marcadas y aunque pareciera difícil al principio porque solo es una imagen, cuenta con un vídeo en la página que hace que el armado sea sumamente sencillo, se siente resistente, no se tambalea, y esta de buena altura.
Creo que la mayor duda de todos siempre es si le gustara al gato, pues a la mía le encantó, me temía que le gustara mas la caja que el contenido pero no fue así esta sumamente contenta. E un producto altamente recomendable, además, me llego una semana antes! y eso que viene de USA.

A mis gatitos y a mí nos encantó, es un mueble de muy buena calidad, huele delicioso a madera y está recubierto de un peluche resistente; a mis gatos les encanta descansar ahí después de jugar un buen rato, además desde que lo usan, ya no se trepan a otros muebles del mismo cuarto. Ellos apenas tienen dos meses y aún no escalan a la parte superior, ya que esa parte está ligeramente inestable, quizá necesite apretar más esas piezas.
El mueble viene dividido en piezas numeradas, con un manual muy intuitivo y aunque es tedioso armarlo, es sencillo y no necesitas mas herramienta que tus manos. Volvería a comprar un árbol de esta marca, ojalá saquen un modelo del mismo tamaño, pero con diferente diseño.

I bought this cat tree as an upgrade from a smaller one for my 14.5 pound cat, which he had outgrown. When I buy things from Amazon, I always read the negative reviews first and if they don’t put me off, I move to the positive. I have to say I think the negative reviews for this cat tree have unreasonable expectations. I think this cat tree is amazing, and as you can see in the photos, so does my cat – and that’s what matters. I would point out that the pictures online indicate a bright true blue, and I would argue it’s more of a soft slate blue. Luckily, I find that I prefer this colour, though it’s something to keep in mind.

I don’t know if it would be suitable for multiple cat homes? But I suspect two cats would share this cat tree just fine. Especially if one was smaller in size.

Pros:
Fun toys that are durable: My cat plays with the various different toys (which include a twine rope, a mouse hanging from the one house, one hanging bauble and one spring coiled bauble, and what they call a “Cat IQ Busy box” that has two balls inside). While some reviews said the mouse came loose immediately, my cat has played aggressively with it and it is still here, so far so good – but we haven’t had the tree for very long.

Lots of different levels: He loves everything from top to bottom.

Lots of twine: part of why he loves the different levels is that there is a twine pole on every level and he loves scratching this. One negative review said that it wasn’t made of the normal carpeting that they could scratch? While the main unit is a soft plush carpet, this is exactly as it was with my previous cat tree. However, the twine poles are more than sufficient to happily scratch away at.

Good size: It is true that the top two levels are small, but as you can see, my 14.5 pound cat can comfortably sit and even lay down on those levels. I doubt he’d sleep there, but he fits nicely into the larger compartment down below, for this purpose. The middle level compartment is more for play and hiding than anything else. He is not cautious or wavering in his use of the top two posts.

Pro and Con:
I would say that this cat tree is actually quite sturdy, as cat trees go. The assembly used a good number of large bolts to adhere everything together. However, I think the nature of cat trees is that there is a tiny bit of wobble to them. It’s nothing unstable! But there’s a bit of movement when he goes up and down. I will point out that he doesn’t seem to care at all. This might be more important to multi-cat households. However, the base was surprisingly hefty, so I do not worry about a topple over.

Con:
The one clear negative that I would give about this cat tree is that the instructions were a bit of a mess. They weren’t always correct (diagram indicated correct screw to use, but written instructions indicated incorrect screw) and sometimes they weren’t in order (the middle compartment should be placed to attach to the middle level using the same screw that attaches the middle level to the centre post below it, it should not be placed after the middle level has already been secured to that post). Sometimes, I would argue, they didn’t suggest the best option for assembly (the little ladder has fairly malleable, though sturdy, attachments, that I connected to the tree from the underside of the middle platform, rather than according to the instructions, which said I should join them at the top of the middle platform, where it would be an eye sore and also get in my cats way). HOWEVER, frankly, it’s a fairly basic construction, the visual diagram is quite helpful, and I had this thing assembled in full, including photo breaks of my cat climbing, within thirty minutes to an hour of opening the box.

Pros:
Great price.
For this kind of cat tree it’s easily over 200 to 300 in the local pet store.
The assembling was nice and easy.
Instructions was clear.
Parts were individually labeled by numbers and it was super easy to follow them.
Immideately I started to assemble, Two of my cats were so curious that they bothered me so much while assembling!
Finally, since I’ve assembled this cat tree, they literally live there.
They fight on the cat tree, somehow cats collect their important toys in there, just lovely to see them playing around.
Yes, just like others mentioned, only scratchy material is the beige color parts which I think is fair and normal.

Cons:
The tree is fairly light and depending on the flooring, there can be wabbling.
It’s not too stable but I’ve fixed them by putting mattress underneath to absorb shaking.
Box was ripped and washer was missing so I had to use spares I had.
Wish they handled their products more carefully
