This cold plunge tub is just a very basic tub. The best way I can describe it is “sufficient” and “acceptable”. If one was to list the minimum requirements for a cold plunge tub, then my opinion is that this tub would meet the minimum requirements, without exceeding them in any way whatsoever. It holds a good amount of water, and fits one moderately-sized adult reasonably well, with no room to spare, and certainly no room to stretch out. The material seems reasonably durable, but no way to know for sure until I see how it holds up over time. And while it seems reasonably durable, it is not at all insulated, so it does not hold temperature for longer periods well at all. It does hold water without any leaks, as one would expect. The drain spigot seems to be well designed and well made. The top lip is inflatable, and a hand pump is provided for this task. It inflates quickly and easily. The cover is worthless. It is an ultra-thin piece of synthetic material that is supposed to cinch down over the inflated top rim. But when inflated, it doesn’t fit well or easily, and it’s so thin that, again, it’s virtually worthless from the perspective of providing insulation to hold temperature. All the cover would achieve would be to keep debris out of the water. But it’s thin and cheap, and I won’t be using it at all. I would rate this as neither a terrible value, nor a good value. It’s somewhere in the middle. I guess the most I can say about it is in my headline — “underwhelming”.

I’ve always wanted to have a portable tub, but not for ice baths! So, I can’t attest to how well this does with a giant bag of ice but I can tell you that for a petite woman, this makes a nice outdoor luke-warm outdoor bath. The insulation provided is just as effective for letting the water stay warm once it warms up in our 100-degree day sun.

Ive been looking for a cold bath that would fit in my shower and according to these size stated it would have fit. Instead it is a few inches larger and too big. I included pics showing the measurements. It is well made and comes with everything you need to set it up and use. Assembly is very easy. Material is strong. Unfortunately I didn’t want to risk filling it as it is too big for my shower. It does seem to be a great choice but just make sure it will fit where you need it.
