Have been using this string for 45 plus years. Not a fan of coated strings and love the brightness and great over tones they bring to my instrument
Vincent M Vento –
Very expensive but amazing sound enhancement
Kyle W. Elsbernd –
Brighter than standard strings but not harsh. Louder. Slinkier. Harmonically richer. More sustain. Cuts through the mix. Same concept as piano strings. Feel like I’m divulging my prime fishing hole or magic trick to the competition.

After stringing my Guild D-55 and Guild D-140 with these strings, I heard beautiful overtone I have never heard before. The sustain is wonderful and the playability of these guitars, with these strings, is well, outstanding. I tune my guitars a full step down from standard tuning (440) and capo up as needed to play certain songs and chord progressions. This is a “no kidding moment”…..these strings have made my acoustic guitars as easy to play as an electric guitar when tuned 1 full step down. The amplified acoustic sound with these strings is something to behold….ear candy! The strings also avoid the pitfalls of some strings when tuned down a full step…that pitfall is the strings bending when making chords, which makes your guitar sound out of tune. I could go on, but why? GHS. as far as I know, is the only company that makes a contact-core string. What you get is a section of unwound string that contacts the saddle, bridge and soundboard of a guitar that enhances the sound and playability of a guitar. The price is certainly right. All that’s left is ordering these wonderful strings. I just ordered 2 more sets for my Takamine and Martin.
