Doesn’t fit some push fittings eg shark

Works very well.

The device seems to adequately depress the push-connect release collar. The problem is leverage (or lack thereof). Your hand is now several inches away from the fitting, and it is difficult to apply enough longitudinal force to free the fitting from the pipe.
I think other tools allow you to keep your hand closer to the fitting which will make the job easier.

Removes pushfit connections with ease. Allows you to remove connections fitted close to the wall.

It is a vast improvement over the silly plastic toy orange removers sold by PEX. I did find that squeezing the handles with an unsupported SharkBite type fitting slid out of the jaws.
I figured out that holding the fitting down on the bench and pressing the tool on top was much easier and always successful.

This tool is very good quality and easy to use, the price is very reasonable. I recommend this tool, it makes the job of working with Sharkbite fittings MUCH EASIER than the small, orange plastic tool to disconnect fittings. Will also work with similar fittings that resemble Sharkbite fittings.

As I have aged my hands have gotten somewhat weaker. I once used the U-shaped device to disconnect push to connect fittings. No longer, I got this tool and it works great with little effort. Recommended.

Great tool

It literally broke on the first crimp of a pexB fitting. This came after I tried for
quite some time to get the pliers to successfully release a sharkbite fitting on what is easy work for even the plastic tool that came packaged with the connector.
Luckily I had clamps and the clamping tool I bought off of the shelf from Lowes to save the day during an emergency repair. I’ll include a picture soon, but the metal literally cracked from the pressure of my hand on the first application. I did properly placed
the copper crimp as well as the tool keeping in mind the location of the ridges
… Seems like it works for Some…maybe I had bad luck, not sure….but if I have to be more careful with a tool than I was with this one, i don’t need it…especially since I doubted the rigidity of the tool the moment I recieved and unpacked it. I would be willing to try a replacement tool but unfortunately the return window has closed for me.
It was a 20 dollar gamble…and I lost.

Took a couple minutes to get the hang of using it but my daughter had no problem removing the fittings as we measured pipe to get exact lengths we wanted for the outside water faucet we were replacing. She was thrilled with it as she doesn’t have the grip to release the grips on the Shark Bites. Very happy with product!

tres bon outil expedition rapide

Works great on some but its not solid enough. Would be excellent idea if it was say 1/2 inch tool only and then a separate one for each size. But the universal idea is week.

For the occasional diy work this tool proved invaluable.
