- Simple Dog Harnesses for Small Dogs – Our Gooby Simple Step-In Harness III is made for small breed dogs. This means that our largest size will most likely fit a small dog up to 35 lbs. In order to fully utilize the functionality of the harness, as well as the fit, we recommend measuring the largest part of the dog’s chest and following the recommended sizes below. If the measurement is between sizes, please size up.
- Sizing Adjustment Tab – Used to adjust the firmness around the chest such that even when the leash is off, the harness stays intact. [Chest Sizing – Small 14.25∼17″, Medium 16.75∼21.5″, Large 18.5∼23.75″ – Please measure the largest part of the dog’s chest]

Wow, this harness is excellent. It’s comfortable for my dog. It’s not constricting in any way so there’s no rubbing of the armpits. It’s easy on and easy off. Very nice.

Bought the harness for at 14.5 lb dog that likes to pull. One month in, the body harness has tears and one of the plastic rings broke. I would recommend to skip and buy something else of a higher quality.

My dog likes to pull and chokes himself with collars so Ive now tried a few harnesses and this one works great for him. Another gooby brand ive bought the fabric frays really bad but this one doesnt its held up so well even with both our dogs wrestling around with them on. The only thing is we never know which way it goes on but it seems to fit ok either way? I think the pointy side goes in the front? I wish theyd label front/back on it but thats minor for quality and price its a great harness that my Boston terriers dont mind wearing. I ended up buying another for my other dog who hates wearing Anything and she doesnt seem to mind this one as much as others. Very adjustable and stays tight even when leash isnt pulled tight so they cant slip out. Id buy again!

The colour and build of the harness is good but it didn’t fit my 17lb shihpoo. I ordered a small as usually that’s what he wears. It did fit my daughter’s tea cup chihuahua wow is 5lbs and usually wears a xxs or xs.
The other problem with the harness is the plastic double claps are too think so the clip on his leash couldn’t hold both. Had to use a twist tie to hold together.

If you’re someone who likes to use the harness just for walks a couple times a day, this a good option. It’s very easy to put on and take off, it’s durable, well made, seems comfortable for the dogs, although the chest strap hits higher on the chest than the comfort X does- it doesn’t seem to put pressure on that area which is good, and is secure. I prefer to keep the harness on because we have a puppy too and we’re in and out very quickly and many times per day. My biggest complaint is how the two buckle straps have excess length and bounce around when not attached to a leash. It somehow seems too big though I couldn’t size down or the chest/leg opening would be too small. I LOVE the Gooby Comfort X line though, and will stick with that since I prefer to keep their harnesses on most of the time.
