These are great if you need really easy duets to use with FIRST year students.
Most other ‘easy’ duet books require students to change hand positions, or to read notes in parts of the clefs they’re not yet familiar with. Not these duets. They’re very easy and straightforward and still fun to play.

Wow! I have been teaching piano for a decade and have wanted a book just like this for so long. It truely is what it claims to be. Duets with both parts easy enough for first year students to play. I originally bought it with older beginner students in mind, because it seems like every other beginner duet book has very childish songs. This is original works that were obviously designed by a piano teacher. I wouldn’t be able to use it with my very beginners, but if they have a basic understanding of middle c position and/or C Major position, they will really be able to impress with this book. I can’t wait to use it at my recital. Thank you!
Irina Kharit –
I love this book and my students do, too! The notes are big and spaced out enough for good reading and all pieces sound great when played by 2 people.

So difficult to find really easy duets for young pianists. Most of these are in the sight-reading category for 2nd or 3rd year students. These elementary pieces are very attractive. Nothing bumps up motivation better than fun, easy music and playing with a partner.
