I bought these for my nieces who were coming as they’d be sleeping in a room and sized bed they are not used to. My children had mesh railings when they were kids and we loved them. I wish I could say the same for this product. It’s easy enough to put together, but it isn’t very sturdy. The arms that go under are shorter than what we had when my kids were little so they have securement devices we didn’t need before. I used all the securement items provided except screwing it into the base as it’s between the box spring and the mattress. One end on each side I couldn’t get to be as secure as the other end. Ultimately I went ahead and left them on the bed as the girls were coming yesterday and we didn’t have time to do something different. Thankfully the girls don’t NEED something to keep them from falling- it was just in case, but I can’t confidently use this product for the other kids who will be coming and are in toddler beds not near as high. Disappointed I’ll need to buy something else.

The side guard was easy to set up and use. I like the feature of being able to put the side down for easy if making bed and for looks when granddaughter is not sleeping. The side guard keeps her safe at nights with its full net material side. Item was as described and was shipped and arrived on time.

Putting this together was not the easiest thing to do. The instructions aren’t very clear. Also one of the ball bearing attachments fell out when assembling the rails. Most importantly after we put the arms between the mattress and box spring for our visiting grandchild to sleep in the bed, he ended up on the floor a couple of hours later as this device did not do its job to keep him from rolling out of bed. Perhaps this would be more secure by attaching the straps to the rail and bed, but as this is used only a temporary basis, it is too much work to set up and take down .Returning this immediately.

The size and height makes it not as sturdy as I would have liked. The frame of the rail is easy for the child to bump their head against. Transporting it around is not very easy as the breakdown is not simple. It will do the job it has to as long as you are not a negligent parent and understand that there is always danger in any situation. For the price, decent. Safety as I said will be fine as long as you keep an eye.

I can now sleep in peace knowing my daughter can’t roll of the bed. I also take my tablet and hang it off the rail so when it is bedtime I can put her lullabies on and soothe her to sleep. I wouldn’t recommend kids leaning on it during the day since it isn’t that tall. They could flip over it but for sleep purposes is great.
