The G3 is considered the “lightweight”. Although it is not as heavy as the G5 it is very sturdy. There really is nothing light weight about it it more slim than lightweight in my opinion. I use this on my Catalina Club Jazz series Gretsch drums. Perfect match. The tension adjustment looked kinda cheap because it is a plastic composite material, however it’s actually pretty nice, it’s thick hard material that doesn’t feel cheap at all. It has 4 tension adjustments, playing jazz I like a light tension and the lowest setting is perfect. It has a big knurled adjustment knob, and I can reach down between songs and adjust it pretty easily. All in all it’s slim but dose the feel lightweight. Nice hi hat stand for the money for sure. It’s Gretsch good!

This is a sturdy, well made, accessory to my new Gretsch drums. The action is great and adjustable. I’m still adjusting. I’m happy with
Joao Paulo Silva –

Items was received very quickly. Well made heavy pedal. Much better than factory.

Bought this for my Catalina Club jazz kit. Great little pedal. I would also feel confident using it on a rock gig. Great pedal for the price!
KC & the Beat –
I was a little concerned that this stand wouldn’t hold my 12” tom and clear a 22” kick drum while doing it. It worked out perfectly for me but not too much height left over to spare.
This stand has everything you need. It doesn’t lean over with tom on it – it has a memory lock – an infinite adjustment ball tilter – everything stays put and it’s nice looking too! My first time buying anything by Gretsch and I’m impressed and very happy with this purchase.

Sonya L. Conwell –
I prefer to put my rack toms on a snare stand than use the mounts on my bass drum. I just needed a relatively inexpensive but sturdy snare stand for the job, and this Gretsch stand fit the bill! It’s lightweight but sturdy and durable, and fit my 12″ rack tom perfectly. I’m very happy with it and it’s been a great addition to my kit!
KC & the Beat –
Good solid stand for a fair price. Can’t say much more than that.
Colby –
I ordered this so that I could gig with my Gretsch kit (it’s all on a rack now). It’s for my 20″ ride cymbal. Typical of Gretsch, it’s more beefy and sturdy than expected. The cymbal felts are actually rather dense and beefy as well. One nice surprise is how the boom stores in the stand if you don’t need the reach. Just move it to vertical and slide it into the top section of the stand and voila…it’s hidden. Great purchase.
Gerardo –
Gretsch è una garanzia. Ottimo hardware, ad un buon prezzo.
FREDLOX –
Great stand for the price. I like my hihat pretty low so I had to cut a little off the tube to get it where I wanted it. Not a hard task if you had a hacksaw or grinder. I know this’ll void any warranty but I highly doubt I’ll have any issues with this stand
