I like using higher quality soaps that don’t strip wax or leave residue and these also keep it really easy to moderate quantity. Just chuck a pod into the bucket and fill it with water. I generally use warm water when I can and the pods dissolve just fine. Ive used other pod products that may dissolve more quickly but they also break more easily and don’t last as long in the packaging over time. Griot’s Garage doesn’t disappoint and these are right in line with the rest of their products. Griot’s garage is a premium brand and I think it’s worth paying a bit more to ensure quality.

Easy to use, just as a laundry pod. Just place it in a bucket of water and let it dissolve.
Is more concentrated than other liquids I’ve used and takes less space for storage.

The car washing pods are very convenient. I use one in the wash bucket and 2 in the foam cannon. Works great.

What I like about Griot’s wash pods are that they are much easier to use than measuring the liquid from a bottle. In this way you don’t waste too much of the soap. Each pod is a concentrated form and makes about 4 gallon of soapy water.
The soap itself is no different than any other bottled liquid soap from Griot’s Garage.
I did not find it useful when using my Griot’s foam canon as it didn’t mix well in the bottle.
Other than that, it’s nothing special.

Love Griot’s products, but this one is wholely underwhelming. Not a fan. At $1 per pod, it is extremely expensive. I usually buy 1/2 gallons of super concentrated soap for what I paid for a bag of these. It took FOUR in my 32oz TwinkleStar foam cannon to effectively emulsify. That’s after waiting the recommended 2-3min for them to dissolve. Spoiler: they didn’t. I had to puncture the bag to finally start spraying an underwhelming slush of suds. Fun concept, terrible execution. Can’t speak for the bucket bros out there. Foam cannon experience was abysmal.

This is exactly what it appears to be: a bag of pre-measured carwash detergent pods in a dissolvable outer shell. I don’t have a foam cannon, so I just use a bucket – it’s really straightforward to toss one of these in the bucket then aim the hose at it and take out your frustrations on the pod until it dissolves. Once open, the detergent is equivalent to the standard Griot’s Garage carwash liquid I’ve been familiar with for years – I’m guessing it’s either very similar or identical. I got great results.
It seems like most of the people who weren’t successful with this are foam cannon users. Griot’s has some tips for that on their web site – they say to ensure the pods fully dissolve for two minutes prior to using the cannon, and suggest accelerating the process with warm water if possible. But these might just not be a good fit for you if that’s the equipment you prefer to use for washing your vehicle – you might be better off with their classic liquid bottles and a pump.

I’ve purchased and used both Griot’s Car Wash pods and Armor All Car Wash pods. Griot’s pods do not dissolve in a bucket of water. I had to manually break the pod to get the soap into my bucket of water. Armor All pods work much faster (in seconds!) providing a wonderful foam to clean my car. Armor All is much cheaper too.
