I ordered this for the convenience of to being able to sear meat in it and love everything about it! It’s light, easy to sear, easy to slow cook, easy to clean, easy to set timer and have it stay warm after it’s cooked…loving it all!!

This is the best slow cooker I have ever had. Very light to handle with the stainless insert rather than the heavy porcelain. I can’t handle weight any more and this was the best choice I could have made. Easy to clean too. Would make a perfect gift for someone. Hamilton is the best way to go.

My wife’s reliable Crock-Pot of years finally failed. So we did a bit of research online and found this one. We’re so glad we did. She uses it a lot! We do a lot of church, small group functions and family functions where the Crock-Pot is an essential element of food preparation. This one is so good because it is light actual pot in which the cooking is done is made of stick proof metal and is washable in the dishwasher. It is not a heavy crockery piece. The cooking and warming and keeping of temperature and locking of the lid are well thought out and work very well. Highly recommended.

I love the metal insert. I can saute on the stove top and then place it into the appliance and start the slow cooking. It’s less than half the weight of my old slow cooker. The lid locks in place and has a gasket that keeps things from spilling when I take it in the car. I couldn’t be happier with it. It’s absolutely the best.

This is my favorite crockpot because you can cook on the stove or in the oven with the insert super easy. I usually will brown my meats and sauté my veggies first with the insert on the stove and finish everything in the crockpot. Just nice not to have to dirty a bunch of pans. Perfect size for small or large family I think. I loved it so much I bought my daughter this one. Mine is a little bit older model but I’ve had no issues with mine and does well in the dishwasher too. The handles do get hot so use pot holders.

I am now slow cooking all the time!!! It is so fantastic to be able to prep on the stove with the well made insert and transfer it to the slow cooker and away it goes. And comparatively speaking, well, there is no comparison to clean up with my ceramic one. I couldn’t put the ceramic one in the dishwasher….way to heavy and hard on the rack, but this one is light and sits perfectly and safely on the rack. And so far everything I have made has turned out exactly the way I want. I highly recommend the extra dollars you may have to shell out…you won’t be sorry!!!!

PROS: this is the lightest weight slow cooker I’ve ever had (no heavy insert), it’s nonstick and super easy to clean, the size is perfect for both a large family meal or potluck, and you can brown meat in it, on your stove, before adding other ingredients for a recipe
CONS: this is supposed to switch to warm, after your timed cooking is up. I can’t tell if this feature is working, though. I put a breakfast casserole on low for 6 hours, at midnight, and went to bed. When I got up at 7:30 in the morning, I expected that it would have switched over to the warming feature (as the directions said), but the lights were still on low and 6 hour, instead of warm, and the casserole was a bit overdone. Because the lights never changed, I have no way of knowing if the slow cooker changed to the warm setting, after the scheduled time was up (and based on the food, I don’t think it did); however, this is so light weight, easy to clean, and lets me brown meat on the stove, so I’m planning on keeping it.
