HARTOMPET Reptile Heat Lamp Bulbs 75W E26 Description

  • 【Simulate Sunlight】Providing pets with sun-like heat through simulated natural sunlight promotes the synthesis of vitamin D3, supports bone health, stimulates appetite, activity, and breeding behavior, and enhances their overall appearance and attractiveness.
  • 【High Efficiency】With an aluminum-coated lamp cap and frosted glass cover for high thermal efficiency and soft light, the aluminum coating reflects heat back into the bulb, increasing output and saving energy. The frosted glass cover diffuses light evenly and protects reptile eyes from glare.
  • 【Wide Applicability】Featuring a Dual-Filaments design that extends bulb life, suitable for various reptiles and amphibians, including lizards, chameleons, snakes (pythons, boas), bearded dragons, frogs, turtles, geckos, and small poultry such as chicks.
  • 【Usage Guidelines】Research has shown that using a heating lamp for 4-6 H/day can effectively improve animal health and life quality of life. Replace the bulb every 3 months for the best UVA irradiation effect.
  • 🔴𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲: Use with a dimmer and thermostat. Keep a distance of at least 30 cm from the reptile, keep the bulb dry, and avoid shaking it. Do not use in unstable voltage conditions.

I have three old dual-floodlight, dusk to dawn motion sensing security light fixtures around the house. As the incandescent bulbs burned out recently, I couldn’t replace them as they aren’t sold any more. I tried LED bulbs, but the fixtures wouldn’t turn off at all with the LED bulbs. So I thought these lizard lights were probably still incandescent. They are, and they work in my old fixtures, and are bright enough, though not as bright as the burned-out incandescent floodlights I used to use. At $7 each, the $14 worth of these lights for each fixture is cheap compared to an electrician’s quote of $250 each to replace the fixtures with an led equivalent. So, $42 of these lights vs. $750 for replacement fixtures. Hmmm.

My cornsnake loves it. She’s been more active at night since I switched from red to this one. It keeps a nice temp in the tank and looks amazing. I will be ordering more.

Tried to use to add some heat under our freezing weather wrap on our lemon tree. The bulb broke at some point so it didn’t help with the tree.

Very bright. It has a yellow tint to it but the light is perfect for our frog.

We have been using these bulbs since January 1st 2024. Everything was great until this morning, when the light failed to come on. Instead, there was a pop but no light. When I checked the bulb the glass section has broken away from the connector and is now hanging by a thread of thin metal filament. The connector is still firmly located in the lamp, meaning that if I cannot manage to remove the screw fitting from the lamp housing…I’m down a bulb and a lamp and will have to buy a new lamp. Time will tell. I do not know if this was just one faulty bulb among thousands or if this is the norm. I would not buy this brand again and have just had to order a different selection, from a different manufacturer. There lamp housing has not been moved, shaken or mucked about with so this fault is purely a manufacturing issue and not user error.

Update 2 – It turns out they only sent me a refund on the first bulb not the entire purchase. While not unreasonable, it is a little disappointing. That is especially since now the second bulb has died, after only about 1000 hours. Because of the refund, and the fact that I have only had (1) of any manufacturer’s bulbs make the 2000 hour rating, I will leave this rating at a disappointing (2) stars, never to be purchased again.

Update – They did offer me a full refund so I updated the rating to 2 stars. If the second lamp lasts a long time, I may do another update at that time. Second lamp is at about 700 hours at the time of this update.

The first bulb in the set only lasted 10 days or about 120 hours of operation. That was horrible!!!

This is the first time I tried this brand since I have yet to find a basking bulb that actually lasts as long as advertised. However, 120 hours (for a bulb whose listing and box shows 2000 hours) is by far the worst I have experienced. It remains to be seen how long the second bulb in the set lasts, so the rating could improve. So far, the second bulb is going strong after about 600 hours.
