Just unboxed, first shot, Daisy 7.8g flat nose, no scope, no sight-in, not cleaned, no tuning, from a sitting shooting position with forearm resting on right knee (I’m right handed), and artillery hold… aim-and-shoot, sight centered on middle bullseye, at 14 yards.
…and I wear glasses lol.
That’s a pretty accurate experience for a straight out-of-the-box inexpensive airgun.
Typical Hatsan quality (I also have an Edge Vortex in .25 and an Edge springer in .177). Synth ambidextrous stock. I’m short (5’6″/168cm) with small hands, and this style Hatsan stock fits me perfectly. German rifled barrel. Piston (non-springer). Full shroud. Safety on cock (the Hatsan safety is very nicely located). Trigger effort was fine. Cocking effort was subjectively mild (a fit 12 year old wouldn’t have issues).
Considering I hadn’t yet cleaned the barrel, and so the shot-report was still subject to higher diesel pressures, the sound wasn’t loud at all (the thwack as it hit the 6×8 timber backstop was much louder).
Purchased refurbished direct form Hatsan website for five Hamilton’s delivered to my door.
Full five stars, and no “at this price” caveat.
No problem at all recommending the purchase. Buy it.

I bought this to take care of a squirrel problem. I had 2 squirrels in my house and using this was less than an option. 6 pellets point blank didn’t kill the one squirrel and i was aiming for the head. The sights are janky and the scope is terrible. After dealing with that for 3 hours i decided to just open a window and let the second squirrel out my house on its own.

Great amazing power but one can’t hit the side of a barn. Sights and scope are horrible. Owed guns for 50 years . . . Every time you fire everything is off.

My packet of the pellet gun and pellets was due to arrive between the dates of Jan 7th-Jan13th bit I received both items 1 week earlier than expected which made me happy. I’ll update my rating as I get a chance to sight the score and rifle in. I did notice that cocking the rifle for the 1st time, it was extremely difficult, but like I said, I’ll adjust my review as I get more time south it.

This was my first air gun so I have nothing to compare it to. If you like iron sights this gun is available at Hatsan USA in a refurb for $39.00 without scope. The scope that comes with this rifle can be found easily online for about thirty bucks. Its an optima 4×32. The way I finally made it hold zero was to put the back ring all the way to the scope rail stop and tighten down. And I mean tight. Scary tight. I also slid the scope tube so that the adjustment turret was touching the back ring so it could not slide. Again tightened down really to tight. Now shooting quarter sized groups at 20yds. Seems to like Crossman 7.9 premier match grade flat nose. Gun jumps pretty good I guess because of the light weight. Trigger is rough but manageable. Iron sights are good. Owners manual is a joke.
Just got this gun out again after many months of doing other things. Still dead on and shooting flawless. I have put at least 1000 rounds thru this thing and I’m still impressed. It will put holes in pellet cans at 60 feet no problem. Still using the scope that came with it and 7.9 hollow points. Couldn’t find the flat nose so I switched. It does not like the heavier pellet. Just will not hold as good of a group.
