Hit Me Hard and Soft is an amazing album to say the least! Billie Eilish really stepped out of her comfort zone with a lot of new sounds that aren’t on any of her other songs. I here some Mariah Carey influence on Birds of a Feather and this really cool modern approach to classical music on L’Mour De Ma Vie. Which wouldn’t be so surprising since Billie Eilish sung in the LA Phil Youth Choir growing up. Chihiro is my favorite because when I listen to it I wanna dance like Ryan Gosling in the club scene from the movie The Fall Guy. It’s a really cool song and the album is worth checking out for Billie Eilish fans as well as general music lovers alike!

Endlich ein Album von den Beiden für meine Sammlung. Absolut beeindruckend wie sie gereift sind und sich entwickelt haben. Kein Wunder dass sie inzwischen so erfolgreich sind. Eine Live CD oder gar DVD würde sich bestimmt auch verkaufen 😉

I was super excited to get this album on vinyl as I have listened to it dozens of times since it came out. When it arrived I immediately noticed that the sleeve was ripped and the edge of the vinyl had been rubbing/hitting the packaging and the edge was slightly damaged. It did seem to impact the first song with some slight skipping, and I would’ve been willing to overlook that if the audio levels weren’t also off. The vocals are significantly quieter on the vinyl pressing than other versions, I can barely hear them and the words are indistinguishable. I pulled up the streaming version just to make sure I wasn’t wrong and the levels between the vocals and instruments are very different and much more balanced and clear. I have many other albums that I both stream and listen to on record and have never had this drastic of a difference. I love this album and the music, but something is not right with this pressing and it is not enjoyable so I am returning.
